hi, im someone who has bad aim and would like to imrpove , i see there are a bunch of “aim train servers” sadly they are ether filled with bots or with high level aim mains and im wondering where there is actual aim training withouth bots or camping/pocketing and no widow one tricks ect.
if you know a group or something else lemme know
Arm aiming > wrist aiming.
also
you clearly didnt read my post or somehow failed halfway
trust me, bots use random movement patterns getting your aim up on those will be challenging enough at first.
How’s that a problem? If you don’t want to play with/against people who are very good and don’t want to play bots, then you do not want to learn. You just want to find people who are worse then you so you can pwn them.
Not necessarily … back in the days no one used arm aiming, and still we had very good players.
Yep, Ana bots + hs only. There are also “aim” mini-games, there’s also a website with OW setup
https://www.3daimtrainer.com/
But thing is … people complain about “how bots are not like people” and yet they can’t even hit bots. So, how do they expect to beat humans? They won’t get better aim fast by just playing the game.
oke so let me make things clear : bots are to prediciple and dont mash spacebar like most of the comunity does and ,
there is a differance between a good player and a widow one trick that kills you the moment you walk out of cover
your just here to try and be a smart as but as i see happen most of the time, it fails
Spacebar mashing is a horrible idea, it’s one of the easiest animations to hit since you travel in a predictable arc. If you want actual aim training go to ffa lobbies, but be warned most people there can aim.
Like I mentioned before, these bots aren’t predictable they use random movement patterns. More random than human players.
We’re not talking about cs:go bots here.

Practicing aim is not about beating someone, it’s about taking many many shots, so that you get your “muscle memory” working better … Bots are the very best way to train your aim. Even better for getting “muscle memory” warmed up.

Nope, I’m just telling you how it is … if you want to build up muscle memory you need to take a lot of shots and obviously best place for that is … vs bots.

Like I mentioned before, these bots aren’t predictable they use random movement patterns. More random than human players.
That’s not really important. Aiming is all about “muscle memory” or “how much to move your mouse to reach point(x,y) as precisely as possible” - by playing vs other players we’re not building our muscle memory up, we’re just learning how to predict other players’ moves, which is actually game knowledge. Our aim won’t get better/faster because of that…
I love Ana paintball duels and friendly duels in general. I think it helps me quite a bit with my aim. Add me on Raghu#21219 and if that interests you. (I’m busy for about a week but should be active starting 28.11)
I played a lot of Ana HS only with Widow and I have to say, I hit her now more constantly.
As I got a bit better I als used other bots, just like Zan and Zarya, just so I can get a feeling for how big their heads actually are.
And well, it made me better- not much (for that I played way to less) but better ^^
What i sometimes do is take mccree on practise range.
And do the 2 clips create a sixkill message message.
So the 6 bots are the 4 moving around on the right , 1 moving on top and 1 standing still (range shot). First hit all the bots once without missing with the first clip. If you miss kill the bots you already hit and start over. Then with the second clip you kill all the bots so you get the message that you killed 6 bots (so without breaks) Do this until you got the message as warm up, every time you start playing.(it will go faster when you do it more. probably at the start you need like 1 hour or more to get the message)
But it is only a warm up. Best practice is just play a lot.
And in real games you also learn how to move and position with different setups. What i think is more important then having a good aim.
Get aim hero, great cheap game to practice aiming in multiple games
Idk what to say except for play in QP with hitscan heroes only(thats how I improved),but it would be a lot easier if we had custom maps
You get better at aiming by facing people who aim better then you. They make you want to go over your limits and advance.
I use to be like you, now i have like at lest 100h in Widow, Ashe % Mccree HS only game mods. There is no spesific grup for that, you just need to join HS only matchs and start losing until you learn how to win.
You can take a easy way out if you know people who are close to your skill level and 1 v 1 or etc vs them. Making a match with bots is nice, if you want aim training in overwatch you make a HS only game vs 6 Ana(bots) on the max dificulty. The ana’s can’t damage you and Ana has one of the hardest to hit head in the game, just go in and start trying to land headshots vs the bots that will just keep runing/jumping/ducking.
You can try other FPS games for aim training as well. But 1st try to get your setting going DPI, mouse speed, scope speed etc you need to get use to them so you can start playing off muscle memory(flicking), then try getting use to the difrent hero animations like jumping or abilityes that lock them in animation like Mercy dash.
some people (me) only have a 15cm x 15cm space for moving the mouse ._. cant do that
Well, you can train your aim by simply playing but you can break the “skill” of aiming into 2 categories: Perception and Control.
Perception is the skill to see the target and to react to changes, from movement to predicting it’s next position. Control is the skill to execute a movement efficiently, for example locking at a target or flicking a headshot.
Both Perception and Control have a “base” you need to build up in order to improve and both of them can be improved without playing Overwatch. To improve the “base” of Control and Perception, you could play, for example, osu! because more difficult maps require you to have better control over the mouse and reacting to objects that appear much quicker.
However, you only improve your “base” with that. Of course, you have to fine tune your skill by gaining experience by playing the game. Playing Osu! is like learning to draw steady lines: It will help you to become a better artist but it won’t make you a better artist. That has to be learned separately.
Well, that advice is purely anecdotal since I’m talking with my personal experience in mind. I just noticed that my Aim got better when I learned to play more difficult games in Osu! (I play Osu! more often than Overwatch)
im a sym main… i dont have headshots,
Ultimately… just play the game. Aiming is a pretty irrelevant skill in comparison, and it doesn’t do you any good to increase your accuracy from 40% to 50% as McCree, if you don’t learn how to stay alive at the same time. Likewise, FFA doesn’t make you better at the game, because it doesn’t give you situations that happen in real games. There will be no shields to play around, no sight lines to avoid, no flankers to keep track off, no healers that can nullify your damage, etc.
It’s like only practising penalty shots when you play football - sure, you may be able to get great at hitting those, but they don’t come up that much - most of the time the ball will be moving, defenders will be in your way, teammates might be free to pass to them, etc.
