Adding a in-game team stats section

I know some (or most?) don’t care or look at the in-game stats page during a game, but I’ve found it quite handy in OW2.

I think it would be cool to not only have individual stats but entire team stats compared to the other team. I mean you could sit there and do the math but it’s be nice to have a quick:
TeamA: 21k damage, 15k healing,
TeamB: 17k damage, 18k healing

And total team kills, total team deaths

I think it could change perspectives and turn individual blaming to “WE need to do better”. I know this won’t stop the cliche “trash team” comments, but this seems like an easy thing for Blizzard to do.

Again this won’t be super useful for people who don’t look at stats, but I got told I needed to heal more because I had 2k less than the other support, while in total we had 5k more heals than the other team…all while that dps had the lowest damage of all the dps’

Would this be useful to anyone else or are y’all good with doing the quick math yourself?

Wouldn’t be any harm in adding a total at the bottom for each stat.

Personally don’t see what use it would be, but for everyone like me, there are people like yourself that take value from it. So it is probably a worthwhile move.

Nah the whole stat screen is a farce. Value is not measured by numbers in a tactical game. So you have 20k dmg, what were you shooting, the tank who ate that all up? Or did you really went out and got 20k dmg on individual targets? Were those targets even a threat to the objective?

PPL losing their cool about stats in OW are probably new to OW. So many games my team has double the dmg and kills yet the enemy has supperior progress. There are objectives at hand, the game dynamic doesnt revolve around you chasing ppl to remote corners of the map.

For all I care we could implement this, but it would simply lead to more toxicity, and less understanding of the overall goal of the game.
