AFK XP Farms are back. I've seen people going from bronze to silver border in a matter of some weeks

Let me explain you why Blizzard Shouldnt be taking any actions.
Xp farming is Irrelevant Since everyone who plays REAL overwatch will aim for SR.
Xp can be only be used as a way to Level up.
Levelup Farming can be used as a way to Get lootbox.
Lootbox can aquire skins and items.
Account with all Skins and items Unlocked Can be sold to other people.
Blizzard shouldn’t be wasting time on what they cant control, #HumanityFreeWill.
I also believe the best to fix this is to not take any actions.
People paid 20$ for Overwatch. Thats it thats all. What you do with your overwatch, is your own business
I dont say i encourage XP farming or account selling as it leads to beeing A LAZY_FAT_CASUAL.

XP farmers are simply wasting there Time, Computer power and Probably bough the game more then once…
As long as they dont Break The Competition mode. Blizzard should not take actions.

ACTUALLY :: They Should make it so Its possible to farm XP in custom game would probably fix Quickmatch… at least in MERICA’S server
Giving free loot boxes to AFK farmers hurts mostly Blizzard (because selling loot boxes is one of their income sources).
Fortunately this issue doesn’t have an effect on gameplay.
If they wanted to fix it then they should somehow differentiate genuine players and the AFK ones in custom games.

By the time AFK farmers gets 50 Lootbox. Blizzard already Released 7 new skins and a BUNCH(100+) of other stuff at -20% Drop rate…
that you can ALSO buy for Gold coins, Stuff that dont trade for Gold are actually Event LootBox which cant be farmed.

If you keep playing you will have the XP and the gold frame before you would even notice.
In Diablo 3 I’m over lvl600 now, having the best set for my daemon hunter, all 6 pages of my box full with set items and jewels, I have hundreds of million golds and there is no point of the game anymore. It’s just waste of time.
I think the whole AFK farming thingy is psychologically hurting those (or interesting for those) players who are the “collector” type maximalists. For the rest of the players buying a few interesting items from in-game gold is indeed the way to go. Few thousands of gold and I have everything I really want for my favourite heros. During the anniversary event all past event items were purchasable.
Good question. I don’t have experience with farming and don’t know numbers.
In contrast with Diabloe 3 those who get rich quick in real-life can at least use their real-life gold for other things too.
I knew some people who enjoyed playing games with “give all” cheats but most of them got bored of the games more quickly than those prefer the journey of levelling up without cheats.

Devs already say’d its not allowed, you are cheating the system by not being at the controls and getting rewarded for doing nothing, if anything they should just reset you back to level 1

I think earning XP in custom games should be OK. Blizz should filter the AFK ones somehow. I’m afraid if they did then AFK farmers would come up with some silly keyboard macros or stuff like that.

and? if they would really care about it then your playtime would actually matter… but it doesnt. I get to play with fresh accounts playing widowmakers (probably smurfs) and 2x or 3x my playtime players shreking everybody with op unbalanced heroes like doomfist so I dont think its a bad thing, the game is bad even without it
I think OW is good both with and without AFK XP farms.

Custom games do give XP but, correct me if I’m wrong, you get less XP than on other gamemodes.
They are the worst gamemode for farming XP in a legit way (best one is competitive mode). However, people found tricks to be afk on those matches without triggering the inactivity status.

I don’t know and even if I would, I won’t tell it on the forum because sharing cheats/hacks/exploits are against the CoC.

You can also use fraps to achieve the same effect.
