I know this has been brought up a lot. But honestly, being in the UK I chose to play on the Americas server, yes the ping is a little higher, but it’s fine. The issue is language, I am being put in groups of people who literally don’t know what the other is saying. The experience of playing Overwatch is just terrible. I’ve seen an increase in rage quitters and it’s just not what the game was a week ago.
Blizzard, I know you seem to enjoy an annual apology - but just silently correct this, and we’ll all pretend it never happened. Thank you.
I have the same problem. whenever I try to join a different server than EU, I just get sent back to the EU servers. Eventhoe I swap the servers above the launcher.
you should post here on the US forums and help keep it active, the EUR forums aren’t that active I am same user on US forums but much higher post count
There are tons of people with the same issue and we’re not being listened to
if you join a game, you won’t have 350 ping, you’ll have the ping of your current region… that does not work anymore lol
here is a post from US Dev who literally tells us why we’re unable to. As I mentioned in my above post, the region picker no longer works.
I used to play on NA servers, and selecting “Americas” does nothing anymore as the global servers added with the crossplay feature merged all the regions together, I’m sure at some point they’ll remove that useless feature off the launcher.
i completely agree, my main problem with this is when it comes to joining groups in the lfg feature. there is no way to tell other than joining and asking what regions people are from and this often leads to players playing on 150+ms
That isn’t a good suggestion… lol people should be allowed to pick which region they queue for and shouldn’t have to group up with others to enforce it
Yo, they keep rage quitting because they don’t understand you when you’re speaking Ingwish? Dam dude. But last week it was alright? Feels bad, bruh. Dam foreigners!
