Alot of cheaters

I was wondering this. The only way to get a cheater in all your games is to be the cheater.

Recently encountered another one. Shot people down before one could even react/see. Called the cheater out on it, didn’t reply. Rest of the people reviewed PotG and clearly saw he/she was cheating. So sad…

A lot of cheating going on and nothing gets done about it. Classic.

Prove it then. Make it so they have to do something.

Here’s the replay code for the game I mentioned.

RK9BXT

Yes I play like crap but I was typing a lot in chat to accuse the cheater.

I’m not going to say who it is because that’s naming and shaming… but I think everyone will figure out pretty quick…

Don’t do that. You’ll get actioned quicker than them.

Will watch later maybe. Won’t be anywhere near a pc for a few hours.

Well I never flatout accuse people before I start to conversate with them. But the thing is, this player did not say anything. He/she was quiet the whole time. Normally, when you say something like: Hey … your aim is extremely good… a little too good!. Most of the time, they reply to at least defend or explain themselves. This person did not. Even when others started to suspect the cheater, the player kept quiet not saying a word.

I’ve encountered cheaters and called them out, where they’ve started insulting me straight away, which is far more typical for cheaters to do when someone calls them out.

Most of them are so obvious and blatantly cheating i didn’t even need slow motion during the replay to spot it as the kill cams were sufficient enough.

Some are, of course, quiet, most likely having turned off chat, but the majority are loudmouths.

The problem though, is that far too many have no clue as to what they should look for, and when the most expensive cheats look almost natural, it gets even harder to notice them for those people.

Rage hackers, spinbots, projectile aimbots, wallhackers are the most obvious ones.

I can give you an example though of a tell tale sign, for Widowmaker.

If you see a Widowmaker du a super fast micro flick, and the aim extends beyond where they hit, without going straight back to the center of the screen, it’s most likely not a cheater.

However, if they do a super fast microflick and it instantly goes back to center screen from where it was prior to the shot, it’s definitely a cheater, because aimbots don’t overextend on flicks like a human does. It always goes right back to the starting point prior to the shot.

Then there are trigger bots, designed to auto fire when the crosshair makes contact with the enemy player’s hitbox. Very easy to spot if it’s a cheat one, but the more expensive ones can be configured to miss x amount of percentages of their shots.

I really wish this game had an active kernel level anti cheat that receives regular updates and does live bans instead of ban waves once per year…

All that would do is just annoy a section of players that don’t want it. (Do you really trust blizzard with that level of access to your pc). It won’t so anything to actually stop cheaters.

Valorant has just as big an issue with them with it.

Many posts on forums with codes. Go have a watch, because that’s proof. Heck, check Youtube, do some research.

You don’t know what you’re talking about first of all. Second, i’d rather give them kernel level access if it means far less cheating.

Annoy a part of the player base? A part of the player base is already annoyed with the cheaters ruining their experience of the game and would more than likely have Blizzard implement a kernel level anti cheat if it meant less cheating.

The only people who would be annoyed by it are either the cheaters or the distributors, because those are really the only ones who would be impacted by it.

Oh i’ve played Valorant and Valorant doesn’t have anywhere near the same amount of cheaters as Overwatch 2 does. It’s like day and night in comparison. Cheating in Valorant is rare.

It’s not our job to provide you with proof when the proof is all around you, both on this forum and on youtube. It certainly isn’t our job to catch the cheaters, either… It’s Blizzard’s responsibility to do so, to make sure they can’t ruin our experience of the game, yet here we are, cheaters being able to cheat for weeks and months at a time, ruining our ranked lobbies etc, before they get caught in a ban wave. That’s really the worst way to deal with cheaters in a competitive FPS.

Blizzard fail to even properly enforce their own TOS/EULA…

That would prove others claims, I even played against a cheater last night.

But, it isn’t you proving your claim. “Do your own research”, that’s how we end up with people in rotting Southport or the faux rage at the Olympic boxing.

But it sure as hell is proving you wrong…

This ain’t gonna end well for your forum account…

You say that like I should care…

Yeah you should. You used the incident in Southport where 3 children were killed as an example of something entirely unrelated… There’s no undoing that, and just using it as an example is disgusting…

No. I used the rioting after as an example of people “doing their own research” as with the faux outrage at the boxing where people did their own research and coming to a false conclusion.

If I sit on YouTube and just watch cheater videos… I can see how someone might think all a game has is cheaters.

Still unrelated and disgusting using it as an example.

In the case of cheater proof, it’s literally all over the internet with video proof, from both streamers and pro players and more. There is no claim being made. It’s a fact.

There are videos of people cheating on the internet.

That isn’t proof of scale or “problem”

Prove it then.

It’s proving you wrong though.

This has nothing to do with the Olympics and especially the incident in Southport, that is disgusting! What is wrong with you.

For this specific game.

It very much is when youtube is saturated by ‘Spectated a cheater in Overwatch 2’ etc. Even more so when content creators are talking about it more and more, every day and their discord servers have dedicated ‘cheater vod’ channels, filled with verified cheater vods.

Just because you’re willfully ignorant, doesn’t mean everyone else are, or should be.
