When some incel leaves, everyone on the team’s sr loss goes to their account.
This prevents people leaving to help their mates as they will lose 100-150 sr per game and also if you have a bad internet you shouldn’t be playing comp in the first place.
People already complain that sr is poorly done and you want to vary that by an additional 100 sr ?
Punishing leavers with sr loss will break the sr system even more.
All you can do is make penalties like suspension harsher.
Punishments like bans are useless. On ps4 you can literally make 16 accounts with one copy of the game.
So you either break competitive or you add a “useless feature”.
I prefer the second option.
Given that i just got “failed to connect to the server” twice in a row and not the first time since i started playing i wouldn’t like that, its not even my internet connection since i never get ping above 80
One of the major issues with hefty punishments for leaving is the fact that some people can have genuine hardware or software issues. In this case, measuring the intention matters. I am 99% sure that there are ways to distinguish between the two of them, but so far Blizzard has done little to inform us about their progress on this.
