Why can you change characters mid game? Its 90% of the time useless. You will play with a hero you can both handle and enjoy. You wont play widow if you cant hit anything or you wont play orisa if you like moving… but what I want to say here is without the option of changing mid game, you would logically pick hero comps that are good in any situation then you will see some heroes completely fade away because they are such a one hit wonder and eeeeventually they will be forced to balance heroes out or maybe the whole game because they would see something is not quite right but now instead we have instantly pushed payloads and servers closing in because the losing teams leave early. I start leaving comp games too because the punishment is literally 0 and why would I stay with a team that gets countered by a pharah and there is nothing to do if no good hitscan is present?..hell even a good hitscan wont be able to kill a pocketed pharah so there is that… Removing pharah,widow and healers who get their heal by doing damage with sigma and orisa would make this game waaaaay better. We could agree some other dps heroes also ruin the games mostly but these are such a bastard picks if you won’t/can’t counter them then your faith is sealed the moment you joined the server. I also like how 80% of the maps are so open you can’t just not play widow and get an easy win. I’d call it unbalanced but I guess a good selling game can’t be one if they have the money to rip off some with a second overwatch game right? or am I wrong here? Is this game actually ok? I think this might be a wonderful game on console because problems like widow is not critcal, you could reliably dodge her and bastion could be fun not getting insta killed by some 6 iq trick like here on pc.

Zen, soldier, cree? Btw a good hitscan would be able to kill a pocketed phara. It is hard, but he would be able, if he is good. Moreover, you are playing Ashe. Isn’t it your job to kill that phara? Or you are just saying that you are bad and want to get rid of anything that disturbes u?
But on the other hand, yeah, it’s easier to be a good phara than to be a good hit-scan.
Okay, so we are removing phara, widow i guess we should also remove hanzo, cuz he too can oneshot as widow can. We also should remove Junk, cuz he is spamming like Phara + trap + mines. Oh yeah and ofc reaper, doomfist, cuz they get their hp boosted one way or another. If healers shouldn’t be able to leech, then why dps should? Why should df be like a tank-hp character?
It depends on a player. If the player is good, he can wreck u on any character. But some characters are just yolo and some need a huge skill to perform. The thing is you should act as a team and find some counter measures to prevent u from losing, which means to find a way to deal with phara/df/“any other hero that kills ur team”

if you want OW to be like a moba, a few things need to happen…
one of those would be a pick/ban style system whereby each of the team members takes turns selecting their role
team blue picks 1 hero, then team red picks 1, then team blue picks again then red etc etc
but both teams get to see what heros are being picked on both sides, which then turns the hero selection phase into its own “top trumps” style of mini game
E.G ohh blue picked rein, so then red picks a tank buster like reaper, blue see’s they picked reaper so they pick Mcree to counter it, etc etc until all the 12 players have locked heros
now although it could work if the heros were properly balanced, but it wouldn’t be what OW is supposed to be shrugs
