I’m not sure how much difference it’d make. Personally i feel like this would help fix several problems of a lack of comms in game. So at the moment you have to either join voice chat on your own accord or change it so you automatically join voice chat. I think it should be that as default you should automatically join voice and either have to leave the voice chat through menus or individually mute people. It’s effort and the majority of people probably won’t be bothered to actually mute or leave chat.

So you want force people to do something they maybe don’t want?
I would probably just unplug the mic or disable it specifically for the game altogether, as well as putting voice comms volume to 0 the very second this gets implemented.

Yes because that way they would be in voice chat unless they specifically left. They don’t have to speak nor even have a mic but that way they can hear call outs and not charge in 1v6. I’m not saying they have to stay in voice far from it as that would cause more problems than it solves. I 100% get anxiety etc. when it comes to talking to people in game but actually having to go out of your way to leave would, in my opinion, stop people from leaving voice as it takes effort
Like I said; People would just lower its volume/mute it and/or disable their microphones. It’s a fundamentally flawed proposition poised to do more harm than good. This way everyone will just assume everyone is in voice and can hear them, while the opposite is likely to be true 
I highly doubt that many people would lower the volume. Disabling their mics isn’t exactly a problem as they still get to hear call outs and since it tells you when someone leaves the voice chat in the text chat I doubt that people will get the wrong idea about who is or isn’t in the voice chat.
People not joining the voice chat is mostly about laziness and rarely about them wanting to escape toxicity.

I know it’s such a little alternative to what we have at the moment. but honestly i think it could solve so many problem we have. Mainly in EU

OK lets make it so You have to start in voice chat. That way you can here everyone flame you for your pick, which will make you tilt and flame back.
Your logic is flawed
It’s a bad idea. When I played 100+ games back in the better half of competitive seasons I would get really tilted of the dps were bad and were trash talking me as a rein player because they got killed wondering around the map like morons. So sometimes no voice chat for me is the best idea. When i’m low hp the supports will see me and when i see someone low i just murder them myself without having to tell the bad salty dps players on my team
Fairly sure the default setting is to automatically join voice. So the ones not doing it have actively decided not to.
I think people not joining voice is more about shyness or feeling stupid talking with family members around them. They don’t think about that they can just listen.
A main tank not being in voice sounds like an absolute nightmare to play with. How am I supposed to know which way you intend to take after the choke? And how can I plan flanks, position myself to peel etc if I don’t know what way we’ll be going?
You shouldn’t need to be forced into voice, you should be the first one there as Rein.
