I usually play only ranked matches and i’m rank Diamond (3k-3.1k). So where’s the problem?
I’m matched too many times with leavers, flamers, blamers, people who offend, trollers and so on. I habitually block and report these ““players”” and add the worst on Avoid as Teammate list. The problem is that this list is limited to two players.
I would like if this list was unlimited, because i’ve more than 100 players in my block list.
There’s another way to do this, convert the block list to avoid as teammate list. This means that when you block a player, he will be never matched with you again.
This makes sense to me, because there’s no reason to play again with a player that you have blocked for his flame, blame, insults, etc…
Can a mod pass this request to the devs? Thanks
If you ignore them for one match then replace them with others it’s highly likely that you won’t be matched with them.
Strangely I used to be happy if I see these turfs in my opponents team after causing my team to lose, but now I just feel more frustrated because I see their names knowing that they’ll ruin someone else’s game as well … I think it should be complete avoid not just as teammates. If enough people avoid them at least they’ll have 20m queue time
I don’t care if they will need 20m to play a match. Everyone get what deserve.
I never practice flame, blame or offensive language, so i deserve to play with fair players.
I prefer to lose a game knowing that both I and my teammates have given our best, instead of a lost caused by leaver, flamer, blamer, etc…
This is what the matchmaking fail: doesn’t discriminate who play fair and who not.
You are doing it wrong. Whats the point of avoiding people who flame if they are actually good players? The avoid function is there purely to rig your matches in your favor. When you identify the two weakest links on your team you avoid them and hope next time they land on the enemy team. Plenty of times I’ve given myself easy wins by doing this.
Another trick is to piss them off so they avoid you therefore doing your job while you still have your avoid choices free.
I honestly cant imagine why you’d avoid rude people instead of weak people.
Aaah I remember this is exactly what happened today. I had this Reinhardt guy(level 3 endorsement level btw) who was constantly screaming he needed healing while refusing to switch to Winston against 4 enemy flankers. I pointed out how stupid his pleas were so naturally he avoided me the next game. Oh boy, what a huge mistake. His team couldn’t even capture point A on Blizzworld and I personally destroyed him 1v1 multiple times.
I love avoid teammate.
Well, because rude people can make you lose the match more than a weak player. A flamer can bring negativity into your team, so you have less chance to win. Instead a weak player can do something and help the team in some way, even if it is very weak.
Simple.
P.S: With “weak” i mean newbies and unskilled players (that can’t play a role/hero in the right way), not who refuse to switch to a more valuable hero. In this last case the guy can be considered a bad player, that is much different from an unskilled one.
No, this is like expecting Blizzard to review every report - good idea on paper but completely implausible.
When people think of being able to block 10+ players they imagine it only from their perspective but forget if if the pool of players on Comp at their skill level/in same region all blocking players willy nilly the chances of getting a match in a reasonable time will be low.
Also, people block too easily. I play Comp every day and only feel the need to block on rare occasions (by which time the chances of coming across any previous player(s) on my list are limited. People block people because they picked the wrong hero, people block people because they are not good, people block people because they lost - people need to start focusing on themselves more.
Thats very relative. Someone who is rude is not necessarily bad. They might be rude because they are sick of watching their team make mistakes. Or because the matchmaking once again created a stomp. In the next game, if there is no reason for them to be angry, they will play good.
Now you can say the same for someone who plays badly, that they can play good in the next game. Its harder for them because they are usually the ones on the lower MMR spectrum who are being carried.
When you block more than 5 players you will do it at your own risk, Blizzard can add a warn that say “Hey, if you add so many players on your block list, you may experience a very slow queue to find a match”. Anyway this feature could create issues only at higher ranks, like GM and Top 500 where there are only few players that can be matched with you.
I block and report some player every 2-3 games played. And to answer what you are thinking: no, are not false reports, because i receive every damn day the Thanks message from Blizzard for report…cause they take action against those players.
@Bustar: I never said that a rude player is bad at playing. A clear example is XqC, one the best tank player out there, but at the same time one of the more toxic. And hey, Dallas Fuel kicked him out because he was doing more damage than anything else. So this is clearly the proof of what i’m talking about.
I don’t think casual pub players care about PR.
