Been playing OW since launch, generally have had a stable 50/50 win rate. Starting around the priority pass launch its tanked to like 20-35% consistently for MONTHS. Before anyone asks
-I take breaks and play no more than 6-7 games per day
-After a particularly bad night I’ll break for like a week
-I try to make intelligent switches (I play tank and healer)
-I take notes on my mistakes each game and try to fix them
-I never flame or throw
I play at gold competency although I’ve only been in QP during this experience.
Game after game literally nothing I do seems to do matter. I understand going on losing streaks (even extremely long streaks) but after tracking my WR since Jan or so it’s absolutely abnormal. I keep thinking the system will recognize that I’m not very good but it keeps happening.
What do I do? I actually have very little complaints about balance or illusions that I “deserve” to be in a certain rank. All I want to do is play games that feel winnable and not curbstomp after curbstomp. Anyone else experiencing this?
Playing QP is probably a big reason.
You don’t really see structure in QP games.

for me it’s more so that i win, but i’m not sure if it’s because of me or despite of me because it seems like it doesn’t matter that much how hard i try, the result is about the same.
brain at full power trying to win really hard = really hard game but wins and feel exhausted after.
brain on auto-pilot barely even trying just going through the motions = wins and didn’t even know how it happened.
Hello,
are you playing in solo queue? I experienced myself odd streaks, be it winning or loosing ones but my win rate is still decent.
Its good you’re taking a break when its needed, but still games should be winnable in general, stomps are not fun for neither team.
Even if its a loss but back and forth game I’ll take it, rather than stomping other team.
Tank role can feel frustrating when you’re on a loosing streak, but I’m sure you can get back to quality games.
I play Tank role a lot and its easier to play in duo or when you have someone on other roles and you know what you can count on.
A lot of my friends don’t play that often anymore, if you wanna give it a try we can duo sometimes and see how games will go.
I play daily, a lot of QPC but regular QP is fine also. My tag is SpikeSpiegel#21497
Would need more info to help.
It’s impossible to keep a 20-30% win rate for months unless your <500 SR or Don’t play much. If it’s the second it’s likly you don’t play enough comp to get used to elos or it’s playstyle.
Play more comp. (You would at least want to play like 50 games a season on your chosen role then report that winrate and maybe replay code of games you lost but it was close).
Identify the problems, then work towards fixing the problems.
Are you playing only QP? If so then forget your win rate, QP has almost no comms, lacks the organization of competitive, and much more. So if it’s QP you’re playing, I wouldn’t even check my winrate, I would focus on becoming better at very specific things per hero and work towards those goals. For example I’m a Zarya main and when I first started out I would set myself goals and try to practice and get better at those goals in QP, thing slike getting x many gravs per game, having at least x average energy, and so on, and QP wa great for stuff like that. Don’t worry about your winrate.
If you’re talking about Comp, it’s a different story. Are you playing solo, are you using vc when in comp, have you watched pro-guides on Youtube to understand the heroes you’re playing better in comp, etc…
There are many ways we can improve on our game and find enjoyment in those small incremental improvements along the journey, watching your own growth and understanding of the game grow too. All of these things are far more important that stressing over your winrate or sr. Those will only lead to frustration, just ignore them.
