Hello,
I am writing here on behalf of JSC Balticom, ISP in Riga, Latvia, AS24651.
Packet loss to hops 82.193.72.65 and 85.254.1.19 may be visible due to control plane policing feature. This does not affect connection quality to Blizzard servers.
Connection failures are visible starting from hop #10:
Same here since day one of the event and the game takes ages to load in comp and crashes many times and sometimes the game starts and i cannot see any hero. i tried everything from restarting PC to router to Scanning but nothing seem to work. after 5-6 times the game logs in and works and still lags… Please solve this issue as it is only with Overwatch and not other games
Have the same issue with constant disconnects every 10 - 30 min. I’m from Latvia and my ISP is Balticom. Had this ISP for a long time and didn’t have any issues with Overwatch before this started happening ~2 weeks ago. Here is my WinMTR report captured during a disconnect.
I also tried to connect through a free VPN service, and haven’t had a single disconnect today. In tests done with WinMTR got only minimal 1-2% packet loss.
I second that, the thing with “it’s your fault” isn’t working anymore. I’ve got disconnects directly and when playing via Haste vpn. I’m about to spit and uninstall OW because it’s been happening for at least a week, and it’s maddening. Especially when Blizzard’s support goes with their usual “oh, we are so sorry, I understand you” and crap of such kind. I don’t need you to hold my hand, I want you to fix the *ucking problem because you sure don’t hesitate to give me “penalties”, and won’t even let me rejoin the game after you disconnect me just another time some time later… even for a couple of seconds, I get disconnected, can’t rejoin and get this *ucking “oh, you’re a leaver”. Fix your sheet, don’t blame us… this customer support’s “policy” of blaming the others doesn’t work, just like your connection.
P.S. “Your post contains a word that’s not allowed: *uck”
This nodes are configured to de-prioritize ICMP packets (which are used by tracert, pathping, and WinMTR) so you may see large latency spikes due to this. It simply means that those nodes are delaying these connection tests packets, while your game packets (TCP and UDP) are getting through quickly and efficiently.
It is World of Warcraft, I guess.
Nonetheless, if people come from the other games of blizzard with the same issue and EU region has a lot of topics related to connection issues, it has to be treated more seriously by blizzard, and as a first step to it is final acknowledge of problem as not local, but at least regional for whole Europe.
We are waiting for some actions from blizzard side for more than 4 weeks.
I’m done, honestly.
Okay, another thing which might help - switch European server to American. Playing for several hours already, no disconnections happened (when on EU server I am getting kicked out after 20 min of the game)
@BabyRage yea, sure, just let us play with x3 the ping we should have?
And thing i don’t understand, why if i use Lithuanian vpn i get below 50ping WITH A VPN… while by default i’m now at 70-80… and before this issue still was at ~59, can’t we just get routed the same way as Lithuania? (can’t play on a VPN always because of random high ping spikes…)
