If your definition of guilty is: “have gone against the coc” then 85% (at least) of this community is guilty including you me and probably everyone else in this thread.
They know that but instead of doing something about it (maybe reviewing the coc, maybe geting in touch with reality) they just ban that 15% of that 85% who play the most hours per day and are able to gether the amount of reports, without them necessarily being the most toxic or disrespectful. This is why “innocent until proven guilty” doesn’t aply. Everyone is guilty. It is like heavy communism in the old days: I don’t like him, he definitely guilty like me, I point him out first, he go prison (overwatch community).
It is sad that this is how it is, but this is what you can do: buy a bunch of accounts when 50% off, be 100% toxic, don’t play more than 1.5 hours a day in one account, you will be perfectly fine because reports decay independently of your play time (for some reason).
Does context even matter once like 30-100 players spend time to report you, then that happens 3 times in a role before a perma ban. As harsh as auto-bans go they need a lot of reports to kick in… Otherwise everyone will be banned by now.
Might be nice that it gets better just because its too hard to punish and get rid of real toxic behaviour and such like game-play sabotage, trowing and etc…
Beeing toxic is a thing, beeing rude is another story, you cannnot report me for sating you are not able to play x hero.

These reports are ridicolous, and honestly the amount of stupid childs in this game is worrying.
When i said reta***ed i was talking about DF design with an opponent. Yet some stupid child jusat reported that sentence without even reading, probably because he still need to learn how to do it

Quite possible. GMs are CS agents, those are the lowest positions in the programing company, and we all treat them as such. So, they can be easily replaced, and every programing company had issues with bad CS agent at some point in time… It’s just a job you don’t need any qualifications other than basic pc usage, speak certain language … and it’s paid poorly as well. In USA, CS agents are usually students, or out-sourced people, from India usually …
This is the only reason I can tolerate an abusive chat (but better game sabotage) report just because with what you said you impact the game directly and yes it’s the only kind of toxic example (flaming).
You have to understand that when you flame someone it’s no longer chat abuse it’s gameplay sabotage.
That’s not true lol. Sure we all mess around in qp, trying new heroes out and stuff, but we all still want to win.
I just see competitive as QP v2.0
It’s like QP, many times, because some games nobody is talking, maybe 50% of games tbh. And the only real difference is there’s something on the line so we all try harder.
I used to get so stressed over comp. I would go on 500sr losing streaks in a weekend, and vow never to touch it again. I honestly think the more we worry and stress over it, the worse we do.
Just deal with it, and do not insta report ppl just because you are mad about a loss.
Mocking the opponents in sports and e-sports has been done since the born of the gaming. AOnly in OW these stuff are reportable, and bannable.

Have you ever seen a football player beeing kicked from the match because on a goal he danced in the face of the opponents ? Everyone costantly do that. Deal with it, and go on
Then what do you play for in qp? Trowing? Cant be training since people train to win. If you wanna be “its just qp” kinda player just go arcade or custom games… since thats the place for “messing around”.
