There should be a punishment for ranked players cause when you’re in platinum and trying to climb and even in plat u get 4 dps there is something really wrong with the attitude of the players. Players should be punished when there already 2-3 dps and they are still so selfish to pick whatever they want and not what the team needs. I’m really trying to climb and I’m always picking what’s best for the team cause I care about winning, but this season most of the players, 95% of my matches are like: yeah I don’t care let’s screw this game and pick 4 dps.
Hope there will be coming some banns for trollers, cause this is trolling.
This can happen on the opposite team you are playing against too, if you are having trouble climbing rank then maybe your rank is where you are meant to be. You may need to change how you play to improve your rank

Bad idea. Players should play something they’re comfortable with. Not something you force them into.

You want shorter queue? ADAPT and you’ll get it.
I personally used to be DPS only buy that has changed a long time ago when I decided I want to go master. Still not there, but I adapted. And now I’m comfortable with playing whatever.
Ill get good ratings,short queue, like minded people, what else is needed? Nothing for me.

Thats the point, i was a instalocker as well and didn’t give a crap when i was in Silver. Then i started to get better and made it to platinum and i can play everything and i would play anything for my team to learn and improve but 4/5 dps in platinum and they still won’t swap thats trolling and that should be punished in my opinion. If you just wanna play what you want thats what you have qp and arcade for so they should play that simple as that.

This community is so arrogant sometimes. Just because they dont pick what you want means nothing. You went from silver to plat because your game sense improved in a different way. The people one tricking in plat developed game sense in a different way than you. This means that if i play pharah, and there is a widow or soldier, instead of switching i changed my play style and awarness. While someone like you would flex to counter. So anywayssss

I’d ban people who beg/tell people all game long what they should or shouldn’t play. Or at least silence them. They are so toxic to the community.
Ofc people unwilling to switch hero is not good for your rating. I agree. Not good for mine either.
But man these people(kids) all game long spamming and yelling “swiitch” and then going all torb on attack and stuff just to “show it”… so much worse than -50 rating.

Big deal if won games with 6 dps with 5 dps spawn camping enemy spawn and my lovely turret near the payload at the high ground against 2 2 2, it was glorious!

There should be a ban for players who constantly switch and waste ultra points because they think it is a game of counterpicking. Counterpicking exists that is a fact it helps but not 100% of the game revolves around it. In fact i am willing to say tbat 30% of tbe lost games would be lost anyways even if the losing team had been playing a very favorable counter setup to the winning team.
Now your idea is terrible. You know it and we all do if we just give it a 5 minutes think.
There is gold plat and diamond and above
To simplify lets consider things this way :
Lets say people above have that little something that makes them special.
Lets say people in diamond basically have no weakspot in their game
People in plat like you have one Achilles heel (tracking or positionning or map knowledge or meta knowledge, willpower, etc…)
People in gold have 2 weakspots…etc…
What you have to do to go diamond is fix your Achilles heel and play some 200 more games.
What you suggest instead is to ban all players in the platinum bracket whose achilles heel is meta knowledge their unique weekspot (and also all players in the lower bracket who bave tbe same flaw) what do you get to play next game as teammates and ennemies people who were in gold and just got upgraded cause 10% of former platinum players are now on a ban.
You replaced people with one flaw by people who have 2.
In gold you replaced people with 2 flaws by people who have 3.
Etc…
Your idea is effectively reinforcing elohell in all brackets but bronze.
The idea is not to ban people with poor decision making , poor tracking, poor metaknowledge it is to make them lose SR and go down the ladder . Guess what this is exactly how it works.
You are stuck in plat maybee you belong there, get good ( well you already are, get better) and play some more games.

It’s true, I hate people as well who are screaming and crying when people won’t swap and I know when you are really good with a hero and like that hero, it’s stupid that you need to swap but that’s part of a team game. You need to work together as a team and when there are already 2-3 dps you should think oh crap i need to play something else for my team but no there are a lot of selfish players here and that’s really unfortunate in my opinion. Team games are meant for players that would do anything for there team and if u just play what u want then in my opinion you don’t belong in competitive.
random teams are random. whom exactly of those 4 dps you’d punish actually? If you cant cope with randomly created teams maybe stop playing solo queue and find some decent group of people you feel comfortable to game with, you know like we used to organize ourselves in clans etc. in the oldschool past of gaming. But I guess its too much effort for your lazy ass, ranting and asking for penalties upon others who doesnt fit into your vision of teamplay is way easier, am I right?
Gameplay sabotage is not : Simply making a mistake,playing poorly or an unwillingness to switch heroes.
