Bastions damage is too strong, they melt away anyone in seconds, especially shields. I fear whenever the opponent has one, behind a shield they’re immortal.

trust me when I say he is not, I got to diamond playing exclusively bastion and it was not fun…

The thing is, they’re not not. Immortal that is. They’re well fortified like this but not unbreakable.
Generic as the advice sounds, you just need to work as a team, read the situation and plan around it. Maybe you can get a Sombra to hack the shield, maybe get a Junkrat to bomb it from a safely behind a wall, get a Tracer to dash in an make the team panic, use a Mei ice wall for cover or to separate the enemy team and disrupt them.
You just need to adapt to the situation and try to avoid looking at it so negativly, when you decide its not doable that’s when it often becomes undoable.

If you don’t want to die to Bastion you should avoid walking towards it in a straight line.

Bastion is far too strong all he has to do is get propped up behind shield and payload and just shoot can’t do nothing with a bastion they should at least nerf him where he is propped up for a certain while

Exactly. The amount of games I’ve played lately, every time the enemies have a bastion, we struggle, I can’t defend the team because my shield breaks in 2 seconds then have to wait for it to recuperate, and so on. Not much can be done to them from behind a shield.

I play bastion in high plat, if you set up on the cart 1 of 2 things will happen…

the enemy team lucio boost in as close as they can get, steam roll over your tanks and literally smash your face in in 1.5 seconds flat

snipers will just burst down any shield you have then take you out in 2 shots and there is nothing you can do about it except move
once you start approaching low plat, bastion instantly stops being viable… im sorry that you’re having problems but you’re complaining about the weakest character (as per the statistics) in the game… being too strong?..
I feel so sorry for you… because if you ever reach high gold… genji, tracer widow and hanzo will all wreck your butt far quicker than a bastion ever could

So a hero that can kill in like, 1 second, destroy shields in 2 seconds that only requires left click is considered the weakest hero to you?
Genji, he deflects, bastion stops shooting, once deflect is gone, Genji is going to die quickly. Tracer, now it’s not hard to aim as a Bastion, Tracers will die quickly unless you time a good bomb which then requires an ultimate to take it out.
Widow, yeah, can’t shoot through shields, so useless really. Hanzo, ok he has a chance as he can break the shield quickly, but he’d only die trying to do so.

Your experience is in silver/low gold… bastion is strong there genji and tracer are weak…
When you get to high gold bastion becomes irrelevant and genji/tracet will litterally stomp you in less than a second…
I know its frustrating for you but nerfing the already weakest hero across the board is pointless… he is already irrelevant and if you cant beat a silver ranked bastion you will never and deserve never climb out of that rank…
Look at it from another perspective and take it from a bastion main who has spent 100s of hours in high plat/low diamond on this hero… he is not strong… at my rank solider 76 out DPS’s him because no one… and I mean no one shield or not stands in full frontal view of a bastion… ever… as in NEVER!..
I almost wish I could lend you my diamond account for one day… you could see just how irrelevant he is… and just how wrong you are when you’re watching killcam after killcam of genji/tracer T bagging you and widow/hanzo spraying the wall with one punch kid then punching it

So yesterday i faced an orisa moira zarya mercy hard pocketing a bastion and my dps kind of fed but i wasn’t that mad at them. It was the way they hard pocketed the bastion the whole game it blew my mind. I uninstalled the game today. Good riddance. I think I’ll stick to SP games from now on. This was in QUICK PLAY. YES, QUICKPLAY.

That’s what happened in the matches I played against them, everyone was protecting the bastion, hard pocketing him.
Uhh explain what else is a Reinhart supposed to do apart from throwing the odd flamestrike, to protect his team? Please enlighten me. Sounds to me like you don’t understand tanks too well so don’t give me that.
The POINT of a shield tank, is protect the team mates so they can perform, without a shield, how can we protect exactly? We can’t, we have to wait for shield recuperation.

Take space, rally team, advance using shield/firestrike/map geometry until you are ontop of enemy, get healer to crawl up into your anus, go ham with hammer, then shatter <— basics of rein’ing
above high gold, reins don’t just W+M2 until their shield breaks, they “dance” with their shield, usually baiting enemy reins…

Bastion is strong only against teams that can fight only trivial face-to-face battles with ranged weapons.
And getting nuked while doing so by Bastion.

Maybe if I was put in a team that actually does something, I’d be able to climb higher, it takes more than one person to win a game. At least you’re in a rank where people actually know how to play properly and not purposely lose games for the ‘lolz’ so stop bigging yourself up because you’re higher ranked, you have it easy.

Reinhardt covers his team as they push into a fight. He does not walk in a straight line towards a Bastion with his shield up. Realistically you shouldn’t even engage a Bastion as Rein because you’re countered, either a flanker DPS or a D.va should deal with it.

Sounds to me like you and the vast majority of players see that Rein has a shield and think they’re just supposed to stand there with it up and magically win the game. You are not a wall.
