Halfway through a season, I always lose interest in the game, mostly because event modes are been and gone and I’ve completed the main Battle Pass… whereas unlocking “Prestige Tiers” just doesn’t really interest me… which led me to wonder: Does anyone actually care about “Prestige Tiers”?
After unlocking a bunch of skins, voice lines, emotes, etc., who really cares about a player title?
Couldn’t they make this slightly more interesting?
I have heard someone (I think it was Flats) suggest that each prestige tier also gives you an old loot box - which, as they can only be earned and not bought (especially as battle pass tier skips don’t apply to the prestige tiers), this wouldn’t be affected by some countries’ gambling laws around loot boxes…
I think this could be a good idea to keep players interested in playing through the Prestige Tiers.
What does everyone else think?
Could be good. Or maybe the last tier on the pass is 400 coins so that you get the next battlepass for free?
It’s hard to get to the last tier unless you play insane amounts anyway (or pay real money to get there). so maybe reward that playtime a little?
To completely avoid gambling allegations, the odds for any item type would need to be listed, and a separate list for items that are excluded from the boxes.
On paper it is a sounds idea, but in reality the way lootboxes are obtained isn’t relevant to the “gambling” part. As you’re still pushing a game of chance on to underage people.
I’d prefer some credits for those that wish to buy skins.
