Black Screen Crash on launch

Hello, I’m having the common issue of the game launching into a black screen for 1-2 seconds before crashing. This happened in OW1 as well, and I just gave up trying to repair it. Updated to OW2 and I’m still having issues. Since then, I’ve upgraded my CPU, GPU, and RAM.

Here’s a list of things I’ve tried:

  • Reinstalling battle.net client
  • Reinstalling OW
  • Uninstalling graphics driver and installing latest
  • Scan and repair
  • Run client and game as admin
  • Disable fullscreen optimization
  • Reset in-game settings
  • Latest version of OS
  • No hardware overclocked
  • Reset video driver settings to default
  • SSD fully functional
  • No errors in physical memory
  • Delete blizzard and battle.net folders from cache
  • Not running any of these apps known to be incompatible: MSI Afterburner, Razer (anything), XFire, RadeonPro, EVGA Precision, etc

I haven’t had a razer product in many years and I’ve uninstalled everything from my PC years ago. I’ve navigated to my system32 directory and deleted the RzChromaSDK64.dll file, then restarted my pc. OW still won’t launch :confused:

Hi, i have/had the same Problems as you. My OW1 had the same issues until now. I found out in de DxDiag that was an error with Razer apps and i deinstalled all of them now im in the game!

I was having this exact issue and solved it by going through my system32 files and deleting 3 files that said RzChroma and it successfully launched first time after. Hope this can help.
