recently i’ve been put in the middle east server again and again playing with 150 ping and people just speaking arabic language which i have no idea of what they say.
if it happens like 1 time a month i wouldn’t mind but man it happens to me like 1 game out of 2
What region are you selecting?
eu server. i’m playing from France.
Is there a way to block the connection to arabic server?
From what I understand the ME server is on the EU region, and your server is dictated by who you get matched with.
Are you solo que or in a stack?
I’ve seen some people post about a way to block specific servers, but it was a very old post.
i play solo queue. it just happened recently like this last week i’m matched in arabic server every 1 game out of 2 or 3.
Odd.
From my understanding there are 3(?) servers on the EU region. Amsterdam, Paris and the ME one.
I would suspect that it is just unlucky with timings that you end up playing matches on that server due to who you get matched with.
There have been threads on here in the past about blocking it, with links to something on reddit. Not sure who successful it is, but definitely worth searching for to try/
can’t blizzard just separate the servers? i mean which part of Europe is Middle east
no offense. just want quality games.
That is why they added ME.
People in the Middle East were having to connect to the Paris or Amsterdam servers and getting a terrible time. Same with people in South Africa.
The EU region is probably the best place for it. Europeans will only get 120-150 on it. Which, isn’t great but it isn’t the end of the world.
It certainly can’t go on the NA or Asia region as the ping for gap fillers would be insanely high (250+ most likely).
i mean instead of just having EU/NA/Asia servers on the lobby, why not also add Middle east, Oceania, Singapour, etc…
$$$$$
Simple answer, it is damn expensive, and would massively limit match making and totally screw up que times.
Now if the player base was about 10 times higher… Yeah, totally agree.
