Don’t use the word id/iot then it should work fine.
But yes, it is annoying, anything Blizzard seems to do is lie, most recently they have started being a Simp to a content creator lol

They are allowed to remove any message or topic that they deem in violation to the code of conduct.

It could be worse. You could be suspended for a day for it. I don’t really like it either.

not blizzard but moderators that actually do not do their job. Normal and good moderator firstly will just edit and remove curse word with note in the end with information. Bad moderator will remove all post for no reason.

So it is employees - same people - same players, not blizzard, but they do represent blizzard and put down its own reputation down.

Freedom of speech does not equal freedom of consequence

I never said it should.

Aah… from all the people that would not understand me. You. Hieiko would take the cake… really…

Why would Blizzard remove a complete paragraph because of one single word.

I have seen it on other sites where they completely block you before you can press create topic
Why would they remove a whole story just because of one single curse word? That is just so stupid.

I replied that to lompcent.

Sometimes moderators get lazy, and sometimes there are 1 or 2 banned words, which in turn make less severe words more dire themselves.

Also the tone of the message counts, i’ve had several messages deleted myself even if to my own knowledge they were perfectly polite.

I suppose we are just meant to forever not understand each other then.

If this happens immediately after creating a topic, then this is likely an automated action by Discourse (the forum software). It can be configured to flag topics containing bad words for review by a moderator, or silence the user.

Easiest way to circumvent this is to not use bad words…

Oh please, Blizzard think even the most softest topic / words are considered offensive. The company is incredibly soft it’s not even funny.

lmao even the comment i where i agreed that topics and comments get removed for no reason got removed.

Only positive things are allowed to be said on these forums or else you get removed

How come the wow forums are run fine but on these forums wich already are dead your comments get removed for no reason, you get banned for no reason. If you accidently type a commonly used word in games wich isnt allowed on these forums your comment will be in purgatory for 3 weeks awaiting approval by moderators.

Its insane

Many people express their displeasure just fine on the forums. Much critique as well, very loudly as well.

correct! my reply against bulle was removed because i told him to deal with it ← no curse words used here.

it got removed simply because people couldnt handle the truth.

I think it got removed because your words were unneccasarily rude and aggressive, but i can’t be sure

Even calling someone a ā€œcheeseballā€ will get your comment removed. That’s how weak Blizzard have become

I don’t think it’s the ā€œcheeseballā€ that gets a comment removed.

Yes it is. You call anyone anything, even if it’s not a serious comment, you can get punished. This is how Blizzard work

How can anyone know if you calling someone something is a serious comment or not? It’s notoriously difficult to tell from writren text.

Everyone’s experience is different
A person who is anxious/deppressed/bullied is likely to be more sensitive to any comment being negative than a person who’s not spent too much time on that side of the emotional spectrum.

It’s about how people experience the messages, and if no one flags it it’s very likely to escape the attention of mods.

The human experience around the words is what makes them problematic.

It sure can. Even a sarcastic comment about what was promised for the pve mode will get your post removed and gives you a ban. I totally could see his comment get removed for calling someone a cheeseball
