i agree to some extent that it becomes a bit boring when that happens, but really all it is it’s just teamwork and if you play that combo it’s just that, easy teamwork opportunity.
if you play with similar amounts of teamwork or better within your own team you will have as good a chance as they do or better.
look at it like a test, if you can’t overcome it you’ve failed to work together with your team properly unless you’re a crackshot widow basically.
because the reality is that it’s not actually that big of an issue the higher you go, not because you’ll have more hitscan players the higher up the ranks you go but because you’ll utilize more teamwork the higher the ranks go.
Well you’re playing against a Phar and Mercy, a single Hitscan can’t do jack unless their aim is spot on on 2 targets.
tbf we don’t know the circumstance either, are they playing dps or tank or support? what characters do they play? some characters deal with a pharmercy differently.
the obvious answer is “get a hitscan” but it should really be, get a pocketed hitscan that can rival them, or why not go pharmercy yourself and just play that type of game.
but however how i see pharmercy if there are no direct countermeasures to it i just think, where are the resources going and where are they weak? so instead on focusing on those two why not crush everything else around them? they can’t really stand on objectives by themselves against an entire team no matter what.
but as a tank player how i think about it is just, how can i render their pharmacy as ineffective as possible so my team can clean up?
If you can’t play hitscan, and you are unlucky enough to play on console… Just go Rein Zarya Mei Reaper Lucio Bap and just smash the other 4 in their team to pieces.
(then again, if you are playing console and not using keyboard and mouse, you are already giving yourself a handicap against a large number of the players)
There are ways to counter that .unless you have a team that is brain dead and most of the times console are because in middle east nobody uses voice chat .
I have a far better experience on middle east pc servers because you can easily communicate with text chat.
Also the game is balanced around pc playing . Consoles players are just 2nd priority.

Yeah, that combination can be really nasty in the right hands…
It can be punishing to teams that do not adapt. I play Mercy in this combo mainly. You need Doom or Tracer to move inside and kill the orher healer. Then to gang it up on the spawn if it is defense or if you are too pushy wont be even necessary. Then without second and main heal Mercy will have to jump down and heal. If she tries to resurrect Ana kill her as well since she will be behins the tanks.
Good widow can win you the game as well or Ashe with boost.
when your team is full of monkeys who are unable to cooperate to the same extent as their opponent (pocketing a soldier with a mercy), it does not deserve to win. Remember: its a team shooter, even in the solo queue.
How is one person having to pocket one other person anything to do with being a team.
Best bet is to run a comp that crushes the other 4 people on the ground in their team.

Well, that is a question you have asked yourself. Good luck with that.
(Having a hard Mercy pocket is not “team play” it is a duo doing their thing. If it works, lovely. but the 4 not getting the pocket are easy pickings).

Someone who complains about players who enjoy teamplay in a team game is so utterly pathetic that doesn’t deserve anything but toxicity.
He is kind of right. I also think Mercy should be nerfed. Should be able to fly from one person to another but without attaching herself to the sky.
