Here are few reasons why they are really bad:
- They don’t play the objective (the battery)
- They stand still in cross fire, so they die fast
- No game sense
- Not adapted for expert or legendary
It’s curious I actually have to play games with these bots for the uprising events, like if no-one was willing to spend their time for a repetitive events with unfair mechanics.

The sad thing is, I don’t think they’re actually bots, just people that lack common sense when it comes to gaming. I see it all the time. I always question their movement and reasons why doing the silly things they do lol
Maybe they are just very young kids.
Comment 1 and 2 - so why the ruck are they in anything else but bronze…
I’m assuming this is about PVE?

No, there’s actual Bots in PvE that Replace Players who Leave Mid-Game.
It’s still better than not having a Replacement Player I guess, but not by much.

You would of thought that over all the years of development on PVE, that the developers would know how to make the AI at least decent.
Man their team must be so incompetent.

Ahh thought the OP was referring to competitive n such.
When there is a bot in the game, they follow a player. If you’re alone in the match they all will follow you.
On the easiest difficulty it doesn’t matter but i agree that you need at least one other player for expert and no bots for legendary.
It’s better than nothing though, especially if your only support leaves.
I finished toronto expert with 2 bots because 2 people left during the ferry defence. Doable with the right heroes, but really tough.
Ultimate zones and mystery heroes underground i finished with one bot each on expert.
At least they’re good at drawing fire if nothing else.
it works better with some than others, lucio for example kind of works in the event one. He will just stand at the objective and shoot . If you need heals you just go to him. But yeah when it comes to the batteries gathering dont count on them going with you
The bots always follow a player. All of them the same one.
If you only have one other person in the game you need to figure out who the bots follow, and that person sticks around the repair station/ other objective that needs defending.

i only did the free event ones and from my experience i did not get a whole lot of leavers but the time i did get them the bots just stood there at the robot wich you had to deliver the batteries to. they did not move or follow until they had to move to the last objective
Thats what i saw them doing. Once as lucio and once as tjorbjorn
Even in the free one, the bots follow.
I’ve seen all bots run after a player when they went for a battery, abandoning the bot entirely.
they probably should but thats not what i saw them do
I’d say that they’re all Drained from having to meet Bobby Nodick’s BS Demands all of the damn time.
I haven’t seen bots in a while,since Overwatch 1.
This is pve related.
In pve if someone leaves the game they get replaced by a bot.
If there aren’t enough people for a full team in pve, a bot fills in.
At worst it’s you alone with 3 bots.

Fellas, this is PVE related, I’m talking about the King’s Row event, not PVP matches. It’s cleary bots because they’re called by the hero they are playing

It’s not ideal, though it’s better than being handicapped. Hieiko makes a good point here:
There are ways to exploit and puppeteer AIs, regardless on how hard they can be.
I had a match where a Roadhog kept running in by himself and dying. Soon as he quit, a bot replaced him, and we won in the end. I had the Roadhog stick by me in that match.
