Bullying report

Hello there, recently i have been reported multiple times by people for the unwillingness to change character. These people write in chat inviting everyone to report me. How is this abuse and group bullying being dealth with by Blizzard ?

I won’t discuss the assumption that this scenario was bullying…

So another question: Why didn’t you want to change the character and why were they asking in the first place?

That is a million dollar question :smiley: . If these geniuses come up with that answer, I’m sure they’ll see another side to the bullying interpretation. It’s called “Team Work”, must be an align concept to our smart friends here… :stuck_out_tongue:

All I am trying to discuss is why is it ok for people to tell everyone to report you for not changing your character to what they like …

Because it can be considered bad teamwork and thus gameplay sabotage.

If you refuse to switch (and we don’t know the reason yet), we can assume that you were not willing to communicate with your team, which usually is vital for success.

That makes your teammates think that you were “throwing” or losing intentionally , so they will report you for gameplay sabotage.

Due to the fact that the report system works fully automatic, more reports would secure a penalty. The enemy team’s reports are justified because they have a bad gameplay experience due to your gameplay sabotage, too.

Asking players to report you are to secure a penalty for your lack of sportsmanship.

Besides, it’s not bullying per definition, because the other players didn’t aim to hurt you but to punish you.

Unless you explain the situation, I can only see you as a someone who deserved the reports.

So how about you won’t dodge my questions and answer it for now.

I am not dodging any questions, i only play some 3 characters that i can play efficiently nothing else, if other players dont like that then what can i do? i joined a casual match with no friends, i dont report people for not switching since i trust they play a character because they are good at it, I shouldnt give up my right to choose just because the majority thinks i should play something else.

Bastion, Junkrat, Torb. Well I’m assuming you were on Bastion or Torb when the outcry happened?

Have you explained your team that you can’t play other heroes efficiently?

Since you can play 2 other heroes, have you suggested to switch to them?

Have you tried to communicate with your team to solve the problem?

If no, then your lack of communication can be interpreted as stubborn and an expression of gameplay sabotage.

With both these heroes (Bastion, Torb) you’ll need your teams help to do well unless you can play super smart and survive on your own. If you notice you aren’t able to contribute with them, ask for your team to help you out. When they see your trying to make things work they’ll rather feel bad for you, and not report you.

If you notice you can’t get anything useful done on Bastion , Torb change to Junkrat. He’s a good hero that can rein chaos.

Tip: Learn more heroes with time, so you can flex a bit more. Torb and Bastion are kinda limiting unless you develop a lot more superior positioning techniques / game sense.

So my account got suspended again by people urging people to report me, this is bullying and I want to ask for a refund on my money spent, thanks.

At least 364 hours played as I am writing this and you are asking for a refund now? Let us know how that works out for you.

You can always try not control others, you know you trigger something bad to happen, just suggest a change don’t force it.
