I just recently hit diamond (3061 SR)
No. It won’t. #20cha
As it says under the decay information in game, no.
No, you can’t
…
“Periodic skill rating decay has been reduced. Previously, inactive players in Diamond, Master, and Grandmaster would lose 50 Skill Rating per day if they did not play seven competitive games per week. This has been reduced to 25 skill rating per day and the minimum games-per-week requirement has been reduced from seven to five. Playing a match now increases the time till decay by 36 hours (up from 24 hours). The maximum # of days remains at 7.”
I don’t know if it is still accurate in diamond over 3k I was decaying with -10 SR.
Decay should be removed alltogether. You might don’t play for 3 months but you worked for your rank. This makes it more pointless to climb up to higher ranks if you know you can lose it by not playing. Similar to the old diablo2 where you didn’t login for 3 months they deleted your character, then what is the point investing time in the game at all.
Actually, it should be even more strict. Balance is changing almost every season, why would say master from season 7 be master in season 13? That makes no sense.
Players should not be ranked untill they play considerably large number of matches in current season. If you don’t have time to play in new season - you should not be ranked in that season. And when you get into new season, you should start from 0. But, since we’re not competitive community, and therefore OW is not a competitive game
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
To be completely fair the game doesn’t change that much. Been playing simce the game out and the biggest difference between seasons was the addition of doomfist and the the tank meta dissapearing around the end of season 3. The rest is just kinda blurred together.
