My gf bought OW a few months ago, so we can play together. Shes really diggin the game, but today she recieved an email stating she got banned due to “unauthorised 3rd party program use”. Since she does not use any cheats/macros or plugin programs, the only thing we can think of, is teamviewer which she used the other day, to show video editing to a client of hers, and the game as opened in the background. Could that be the issue? I already submitted a ticket, but reading thru some similar threads from earlier i dont have high hopes, HOWEVER i would like to know what got her banned, so if we decide to buy the game again by any chance, this wont happen again. Thanks.
Yes it can.
Any 3rd party program is forbidden. I’m surprised screen sharing software triggered that. But they are pretty strict on it.
Even banning the OWL teams from using 3rd party stat programs.
Thanks for the quick answer. Quick followup question: Do you happen to know whether its a VAC ban or just account? So if we deide to buy another one will that be automatically banned?
Pretty much all bans are account level.

Yes i am a 100% confident she did not use any chetaing program.
As we mostly play arcade or quickplay and i am a bronze scrub at 1400 or so, i DO NOT boost her anywhere 
And yes, my mistake i meant IP/Account ban not VAC.

from what I’ve read on US forum regarding bans you’ll probably have to appeal several times until someone actually looks at yours/hers case (if you get automated response on your ticket).
Be persistent if you’re sure that none of “unauthorised 3rd party program use” were used. Good luck
