Every time Blizzard says they fixed matchmaking it gets even worse.How is this possible?
I havent won a game in 6 days thats like 40 games or something.
What is this matchmaking?
Im going to be complete honest.I think this is the worst matchmaking in gaming history.
Another problem is smurfs.These people are everywhere.Last night I saw a player with 100 hours and hes already in masters.What the hell is this?
For the love of god please I just want to play against other plat players and not masters or grandmasters.

Every time I check the score board their title says master challenger or grandmaster challenger.

I cant believe you are supporting the current matchmaking.Actually it makes sense since maybe you are masters and get put in plat lobbies and win every time.
Not on that role though.
If you’re plat on the role you’ve queued. So are they, at worst they might be in diamond if you’re in the upper plat ranks.
The titles are misleading and pointless. Get GM one tricking Mercy 1 season, and now for the rest of time you can upset every one in your proper tank of plat lol

I’m plat, literally the same lobbies as you. I win when I play well, lose when I screw up or mess about too much.
Match making isn’t why you can’t win.
Match making might cost you a game here and there. But if you’re on a run of losses… That’s a you problem.
If you get a bad support player which happens a lot to me its over from the start.Even if you play good its done for.I am complaining about this.
I have never had a game where I said gg because it was a beautiful game in a long time.
Instead I say gg to pay respects now.
The point I am trying to make is you cant have good games because of matchmaking.Its really rare.
Its either you roll the enemy or the enemy rolls you.
I finally won a game but it wasnt even fun.
You can’t have good games because the game isn’t good right now.
The match maker isn’t doing that. Match maker is just putting 10 people with similar MMR together, it’s too basic to do anything else
That’s all to do with how people play, mistakes made and so on. Again, not a matchmaker problem.
Sometimes peoples playstyles just don’t mesh right even if everyone’s mmr ratings would be exactly the same, that alone can cause a roll.
The same mmr system is active in all modes so i’ll use 2 event games from yesterday as an anecdote here.
We were lucky enough (or unlucky) to go against the same 3 stack with the same 2 stacks in a row. Everyone picked the exact same heroes on the 2 rounds. (I blame this on the fact that not many people play the event mode)
First round the defenders won (bastion had 46 elims) but we got 2 points out of 4 despite our team’s elims being less than 30 when put together. Next round the attackers rolled the match with a timebank of 3 minutes and some. The only difference being a single dps player on the defenders side.
If you just don’t mesh with the team, it’s all over. The matchmaker has no idea of this as it only looks at a single number to put the matches together.

I agree, matchmaking is bad but if you only have losses, it is not entirely the matchmaking. Perhaps you only play a few hero’s and those ones tend to be weaker this meta?
The matchmaking is broken. You can get matched within ANY two ranks higher or lower unless you’re Top 500. All you have to do is be diamond and play with a gold player. Brings down the average rank makes for easy stomps.
They were supposed to fix the matchmaking by giving tighter MMR meaning less likely to face a stacked group if you are playing solo, and less likely to play against groups larger than your own. They haven’t fixed that. 2 stacks going up against 5 stacks is not balanced. Top500’s in QP being able to play with anyone who has never even played comp should not be allowed let alone players who are not veterans.
I’m master myself. I got there literally by accident by playing Widow 24/7 on console. Every game of comp I’m facing only Grandmasters and Top 500, because Blizzard hasn’t figured out GM’s AND UP should ONLY be able to play at GM and up and not against platinums
People also abuse ROLE VS OPEN by being top 500 in open queue and then throwing matches in role queue for easy stomps. The matchmaking is broken, and is easy to abuse Via multiple methods. Don’t be willingly ignorant and you won’t come off as a massive tool.
That’s not broke. That’s literally how’s it’s been for years.
They have. That basically never happens in ranked unless your queue runs really long.
Are they on those roles or just displaying the tag?
People Throwing games isn’t anything to do with matchmaker. That just a player base issue.

completely agree with you. the matchmaking should be better in every way. whether its quickplay or competitive.

But if it annoys you. Maybe think about why. Is it because it is correct and you don’t like being told that… I don’t know.
It annoys me because I write my problem for 30 minutes and think about it for too long and this guy comes up and says two annoying words.
