Career profile visibility: Teammates

Can blizzard implement this option? pls

Why do you want it visible for teammates only? The enemy team aren’t likely to say something…

in higher elo ( even in low elo ) people check profiles. If they see Zen Ana main, they insta pick genji, without even thinking for a second.

I dont want to argue about that, but when there is a public,friends only option we can also have that “only teammates” option, too or not?

I see, so the main argument for teammate visibility is to prevent the enemy team from predicting your hero choise.

Though come to think of it, it is useful only in the first 30 seconds of the match, where you don’t know the enemy composition yet.

After that, the composition is revealed and looking at the enemy’s profile is no use.

Those 30 seconds aren’t that crucial either because you still have the rest of the time to turn the tide.

i agree letting your enemy’s see your profile give them a pretty good idea of what they will be up against, and allows them to counter pick before the doors even open.

There’s no point adding it just to prevent enemies from predicting your hero choice… Go on private if you’re that worried. But that’s what comps about, countering what the enemies going to pick.

k well why then does it block your hero pick even after the match starts for a min or 2 when you tab. yes counter pick is part of the game, but not out of the gate. also there are advantages to viewing teammate profiles. i think being able to hie from enemy’s but not teammates would be great , and most likely not that hard to code.

It’s not unfair. Both teams can look at their enemies’ profiles so it’s not like 1 team has an advantage. I don’t see much of a point for it. Hidden profiles weren’t made to prevent enemy teams from seeing what you play.

i never said it was un fair i’m saying that i would rather not let the enemy see my profile end of story. and i think the ability to view profiles in general had un interned effects in comp first place. so i would like the option to not show my profile to the enemy, wile still being able for my team to look at it.

Well you can’t do that, and will probably never be able too. That’s part of having a public profile. It’s not the end of the world.

And that’s what countering is… Then you counter the pharah. Both teams can do this.

9 times out of 10 no one actually does this. I don’t look at my enemies profiles, and I barely hear anyone in my team go ‘they have a brigitte main, I’ll go pharah’. And you can play Brigitte, no one’s stopping you.

maybe at your sr, but you get higher up and you have a dank tracer with a huge win rate or genji so on, 100% you pick them you are running into probably more then on hard counter.
