Deflect is a very cheaty and unpredictable ability, while the flashbang is very primitive and easy to predict its throw. Cassidy has the large hitboxes, which allows Tracer and Genji to deal a lot of splash damage to him. Also, most Cassidy players play on low mouse sensitivity, which forces them to frantically swing their hand to hit these mobile characters.
It’s actually humiliating to die to Genji, who has memorized one one-shot combo and randomly presses deflect, while you have to think about positioning and have constant accuracy. Or dying to Tracer, who is rushing around you, and you have to erase your mouse glides to even hit her.
Where is the equivalent exchange - effort = result?

If the genji or tracer out plays you. Fair play.
If you need heroes to have kit to counter instead of your skill, then you deserve to lose that duel.
Genji has a pretty forgiving hit box. Shot, bait deflect, destroy him after.

It really isn’t. He’s had it for more years than Orissa has been alive. Simple way to make it useless:
Don’t shoot when he uses it.
If you really wanna be lazy:
Play symmetra…
Deflect has no animation of preparation, it’s used instantly without delays and it’s impossible to guess the moment of deflect, because in addition to randomness there are two tactics of deflect. Use deflect immediately after shift, or use deflect before shift and it is impossible to accurately predict the moment when Genji will use deflect. Whereas flashbang is very predictable, because it has only one option - to fly at opponents who have come close enough. You can have a good reaction and immediately throw a flashbang behind you after Genji’s shift, but Genji will press deflect. You can throw a flashbang before Genji gets close enough, but he’ll still hit the deflect. Moreover, he can cancel the deflect at any time…
True. But if he’s just used it, you know the cool down… So you’ll know when he has it again.
Another option. Like with a lot of heroes. Just go after their team. If they are the last one left, they either need to play out of their skin to 1v5 your whole team, or reset.
