Choose your gamemode in QP

i’m tired of doing 2-3 koth, 1-2 push, 1 hanakoa, for only one payload or hybrid…
i dont like your hold to the point maps and you only do this now. it’s funny to see that all the maps you are releasing theses past month are half map with copy paste side for the other team…you are getting lazy and it’s not good. usualy i defend blizzar the most i can but this time…or remove the penalty for leazving a game in the first 10 sec…

If it can be proven not to impact play rates in all maps (players need to learn them all after all). It’s not a terrible idea.

That being said, arcade often has mode specific games.

Of courae they’re going to mirror each side. Changes could give other side advantages

Of course they are mirrored. It’s for balance. Mad to suggest that’s a bad thing .

payload and hybrid maps are not mirrored maps…but yeah your brain is too big for me

It could be a doable solution to be able to exclude a single gamemode in qp. Not in comp, but a single gamemode might be doable without tanking the queue times.

That way if you get say, koth mode 5 times in a row, you can exclude that gamemode from what you’re queueing into. It wouldn’t help with practising all maps for comp, but for casual audiences that could be nice.

If you want to choose the mode, get 9 friends and play pugs. Play whatever mode or map you like.

The systems are already there for you.

I think choosing the style of QP match would be a big QoL improvement, especially if it was defaulted to ‘All’ at the start of each play session this should have little impact for most casual players. The big benefits come to those who want a certain type of match, personally I prefer payload/hybrids.

But even if some modes are more popular that others, blizzard could do an exp bonus to certain types of maps like they do with the role queues, which would probably attract players to change to different modes.

It sounds like a good idea and a reasonable ask, so unfortunately its probably not going to happen.

imo qp should lean more into the “quick” part… for example Assault Maps(2CP) should appear in Quick Play and those 2 Round Capture Point maps like Oasis or Illios and such should only be 1 Round instead of 2 since how it is now, there is no difference between playing those maps in Quick Play or Ranked and Quick Play should be quick if you ask me…

Clash should be Good for Quick Play but it has one glaring flaw: It isn’t fun and it magnifies OW2’s biggest Problem: Steamrolls

They tested shorter matches for quick player and I believe people voted against it for the most part.

But I agree they should find ways to shorted the modes slightly.

Less time for push… Maybe have points capture and gain % faster.

So ultimately they are the same matched as ranked, just shorter.
