Make sure you added the rule both in inbound and outbound
I told you that i did everything what you say i added the rule both in inbound and outbound too , im gonna record and upload video to let you see if there something wrong or what.
it didnt work for me im still in ME.
can Exitlag affect this by any chance? do i have to turned it off?
I think it might, if it for example disable the firewall, or it changes some of the firewall rules.
how did you know the ip address for the ME servers
hi im an australian and i was wondering if i could block the american servers while im playing with a american so they play on australian servers and if so what is the ip for the american servers thanks in advance
You can do it using these values:
From: 24.105.30.0
To: 24.105.30.255
For US West I think
From: 24.105. 62.0
To: 24.105.62.255
For US East.
If that didnāt work then just disable the rule to return back to normal
What are the IP values of australian servers? I need to connect to PSE1 (Singapore) servers while playing with an australian friend.
How does one enable firewall to be public? Since Iām not sure how.
Itās important to have Microsoft Defender Firewall on, even if you already have another firewall on. It helps protect you from unauthorized access.
-
To turn Microsoft Defender Firewall on or off:
- Select the Start button > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security and then Firewall & network protection . Open Windows Security settings
- Select a network profile.
- Under Microsoft Defender Firewall , switch the setting to On . If your device is connected to a network, network policy settings might prevent you from completing these steps. For more info, contact your administrator.
- To turn it off, switch the setting to Off . Turning off Windows Defender Firewall could make your device (and network, if you have one) more vulnerable to unauthorized access. If thereās an app you need to use thatās being blocked, you can allow it through the firewall, instead of turning the firewall off.

Sometimes I noticed antiviruses interfere with your firewall settings and rules which make this solution not work.
Iām on Firewall & network protection but I donāt see anything saying āWindows Security Settingsā, and all three of the networks, Domain, Public and Private say that no action is required.
I think the antivirus is taking over the firewall settings
Man YOU ARE A LEGENDā¦I FINALLY GOT RID OF THOSE STUPID SERVERSā¦Cheers MATE!..sorry about Caps im just super excited
Thank for providing this solution.
Randomly connecting to ME Servers and having double the ping was so annoying.
Blizzard should add a āPreferred Serverā setting in their options.
they are too lazy to do that unless there is money involved!
How to do the opposite? Connect to ME server and block the EU one. I live in Pakistan and we have VOIP blocked. I unlock VOIP using a VPN, but it automatically connects me to the eu servers. I get 170 ping there, 60 on ME. I wish to connect to VPN and keep connected to the ME server.
why you wanna play on a trash server? Im from Pakistan as well & most of Pakistani players choose to play on EU instead M.E
Iāve been playing since a year or two maybe. Using this method, I also initially thought I would play on EU server. Tried 4-5 rounds on QP. Got a variety of braindead players. Rein who randomly charges in without support. Battle mercy who pulls guns on the faces of people and leaves her healing duties. Widowmaker who wonāt switch if she isnāt getting picks because of bad skills and unaware to the extent she wonāt switch. Lucio who wonāt get off speedboost and goes off on his own.
All this in 5 consecutive matches. My expectations of the ME server was ruined. Not worth increasing ping if 70% of the matches Iād get are like this.
Would adding similar firewall rules that block those IP ranges to your routerās firewall also work? If so people not using Windows or playing Overwatch on consoles can connect to the servers they choose, yes?
Yes, thatās possible also.
Doing that on router, it means thest it will apply to all devices that connnect that router
