Chronal Decelerator

Waiting simulator.

  • Wait for a game [ 1-10 mins+ ].
  • Wait at respawn [10secs per death, 13seconds overtime].
  • Wait to play between rounds [20 seconds?].
  • Wait at character select in paddock area [ 1minute per round? ]
  • Wait for game to end, don’t leave or endorsement can be harmed… Cards, PotG, Medal count, SR modifier [ 2-3mins? ].

Games last on average 10 minutes without that filler. How are we managing to waste anything between 5 and 25 minutes to play a 10 minute game?
All the waiting within the game cannot be helped - It is part of the game, but when you add it to the artificial inflation of Role Queue it becomes insulting.

Initially I agreed with imposed roles and thought they were for the greater good, but I think we need to look at this for what it really is and look at getting it reversed. Games are to be played - not a timer to be watched. We originally paid money for this because we were sold an idea, we all really liked that idea. But what we originally paid for, is not what we have now. I would rather dice roll on “bad games” but actually be playing the game more at this point.

Any opinion I had about Role Queue possibly being a positive till now was wrong - It’s bad, remove Role Queue. It is, in fact the worst thing for and in the game - Because it’s stopping the game from being played. It also places far too much importance on a game when you finally get one. And as a side effect, it’s almost like one of those horrible mobile games where you build a house or something and need to return in 24 real time hours with nothing to do between [Obviously with smaller intervals, but the point stands, shooting range is not the game and neither are the other options].

If this game is going to survive - Role Queue needs to go - in Quick Play at the very least and not be implemented in Ovewatch 2.

Please submit idea’s on how we can take this reasoning and have it noticed.

  • Edit: Forgot about waiting in paddock area at the start of a game.
