Clash is the worst game mode yet

I love to have “Hanamura” back, which was one of the best maps in the game. But this new Clash mode is the worst game mode yet. I thought push the robot was as poorly designed it could get, but nope, clash is even worse. If you want to add content to the game, just bring back Anubis and Hanamura, which everyone loved. I don’t even understand why you would delete these 2 maps and replace it with bottom tier like this.

The mode feels like the fastest/most hectic one yet. Reminds me of overtiming in total mayhem.

It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, and definitely not something that will be enjoyed everyday.

I do prefer to have those small windows of downtime that happen naturally in the other modes. This mode does not have the downtime or lulls in the battle.

What I do like, based on others descriptions and the little bits I’ve seen played, is that it’s going to require a different play style.

So when you’re queueing, it’s not just the same game, same comps, same style match after match.

It’s definitely feeling like it’ll favour brawl comps and dive comps.
Spam heroes are also pretty good.
Snipers like widowmaker won’t get as much playtime i feel.

I could be wrong though, but at least in quickplay it feels like a permanent fast paced brawl.

By far the worst they have ever done. One of the worst for every hero shooter i’ve ever played.
The dev team behind it don’t understand the basics probably.
For real, every new game mode they made in Ow2, was a mess.

Tbf. You are playing it in open queue, without open queue rules. (Ie full tank hps)

I wouldn’t judge it till you can play it properly.

(I’m not enjoying it in its current rule set either. But open queue was awful untill the tank changes)

The mode is also in quick play rotation.
It feels a smidge calmer in role queue rules, but a little snowbally.

Still very brawly and i think i’m figuring out the tactic.
Just leave one person on the point and push the enemy back into the next choke (the next point) i had around 60% avarage energy on zarya because the fights are never ending. Very satisfying to play her on the mode.

Maybe I’ll break my streak and actually play quick play for a little bit

Yeah, my friend above has just informed me. I’ll give it a run tomorrow and see what I think of it.

But the arcade version is meh. But I totally get why they’ve done it there. They want to stress test it with the dumbest comps.

I guess you cant please the whole crowd, sadly. Personally i found it refreshing having a new style. Its on temporary i believe anyway.

If they release this mode as it is to competitive, I simply don’t understand why 2cp was cut from the game into arcade and why, let’s say, capture the flag had never had a chance to get into quick play mode? All of them require specific gameplay, but they don’t change anything in core game (like total mayhem or no limits).

I prefer Clash vastly more than “Walk across a continent to push a wall” and “2 CP but 3 in random places”

I like the concept of it but the fact it pretty much always boils down to “first to 5” completely ruins the game.

Makes the whole mode essentially pointless. Team Fortress 2 doesn’t do it. Sure it leads to longer matches, but there’s gotta be a better timebreaker concept than that.

I am fully agree tihis is a worst mode i have ever played, better they back assault in quick play then this one
