As someone who plays the 1v1 every week for arcade awards it feels really dissapointing to play only for xp and loot boxes. I feel like this mode has a lot of missing potential as a competitive mode, it’s filled with strategy, mechanics, positioning and many other unique ways to play the mode. If it was made into a competitive mode I would personally prefer it to be mystery duel, I’m not a fan of limited duel as much because I like how mystery duel forces you to adapt to the hero it gives each player, please let one of the devs see this.

Not a bad shout for a random arcade mode for a couple of weeks.

I personally would love a comp 1v1 however I don’t think it would be a great idea, especially with the mind set of the community. imagine Qing into a normal comp game, there’s already a toxic guy and the first thing he says is im gm in 1v1. overwatch is a team game and I think this may increase the mindset of im a good player its my teams fault. like I said, I would love it but I don’t think it will happen
I’d just turn all chat off in this mode.
There is NEVER a need to talk to the enemy.
I know it would be rare in a 1v1 comp game but some people might say ggwp
