I live in Switzerland and yesterday I got conected to ICN1 which are the South Korean Servers. I don’t use VPNs and cannot play with 330 ping and this persisted for 8h+.
My normal ping range is usually 33-40 and today I am connected to AMS1 which are the Netherlands Servers which gives me a ping of 60-90.
Update: This is persisting for 6h+ now.
I can also provide screen shots of the connected Server and pings they giving me if needed, also I don’t have this problem with other games.
If there are no solutions to this problem I can do I wanna make this thread at least a notification for the Support that this is happening and very, very frustrating especially with the upcoming Competitive Drive.
Thank you
Its annoying when it’s happens.
Would be nice if they said what servers weren’t available when you about to queue so you can decide if you want I proceed.
(Probably impossible to do as they don’t own the servers though)
Can confirm this is currently happening, two competitive matches in a row 300+ ping which is unplayable.
Can you please fix this bull?
And for the record before anyone asks in any other game I am not having this issue so it’s most certainly related to Blizzard servers.
They are Google servers. So there is little Blizz can do.
If that is the closest available server to you when you queue. You are going to be on that server.
Best tip, if you get 1 game like that. When it is over (or you leave), stop playing. Come back in an hour or so, or maybe the next day. If the servers are being worked on, there is nothing you can do.
They need to find a way of communicating which servers are live when you are choosing to queue… but it probably isn’t possible.
