Crowd control and brigitte

And like I said it doesn’t mean anything in the beginning. I’ve seen new patches all the time in dota 2, the first several days of tournament play are a mess. Some teams stick to the old, others try new, others mix it up, its all about finding what works and exploiting it. There is no way this “diversity” is kept up later down the line and you know it.

Yes, so at least in these early stages we are seeing a lot of heroes being played unlike the old classic Dives played pretty much on every map

Yay, now if only our gaming experience was similarly improved at least for a little while but nope, gotta handle the shield meta until the nerfs come.

Dive may have been oppressive as hell in the pro scene but certainly not that much on ladder.

After watching some OWL games i get the feeling that Dive’s not going anywhere… Maybe too early to say, but from what I have seen so far post Brig 90% of the games were Dive based.

Wait, you are saying OWL still has mostly dive, even with Brigitte?

At least from what I have seen in the last 2 days yes. It’s the competitive ladder that’s playing diverse, but OWL’s pretty much going like how it used to before even with Brig. In like 2 days we saw Brig being pulled quite rarely.

We saw Mickey pull Brig on Hanamura, yesterday against Shangai Dragons.

Based on the last 2 days OWL games I don’t see any meta change to be honest.
Florida Mayhem tried getting Brig into Oasis against NYC and they got wrecked, and they changed Brig back to other heroes.

Houston vs London Spitfire when the game was 3 - 0 in Houstons favor towards the very end we saw Muma play Brig, but that’s like the time of the game were they have no pressure, and they just played Brig for the heck of it. London did not even bother counter picking the Brig, like they were okay about rolling the Brig.

That’s interesting though.

I still think Brigitte is a problem, and it is a problem for us players on ladder. But that really is interesting.

Why do i sense Brigs gonna go the way of her daddy, and all these Brig cries are not even going to be a thing. In the pro scene, we just saw Pharah, Junkrat wreck the Brig to oblivion.

Seriously NYC did not even use Brig once in there games against Florida Mayhem.
I think they were right all along, Brig’s not going to change the meta. But it might be that the pro teams don’t have enough skrim time yet on Brig, or they see Brig as sh*t tier. Many of them seem to say vocally that “Brig’s gonna change the meta and make it diverse”, but in reality in the games I don’t see any of it.

And that is why I said it definetly is a ladder issue. I don’t think Brigitte is overpowered or broken, she is not fun to play against and makes so many heroes, like Winston for example, miserable.
On ladder running Junkrat and Pharah is hard, very 'ard. So many Widows, Hanzos, Zaryas and Reinhardts nowdays. Not the most viable counters, neither is Bastion before someone brings it up.

They might think Brigitte is going to change the ladder meta. As she did, since she started a chain reaction.

Brigitte has an undoubted impact on the ladder for sure… Just check the leader board right now for Season 10… #1 EU is Brig and Brig’s floating all over the top 10.
But OWL games, was completely a different story. It might have to do with the certain maps that is allowed for the current Stage 4. In the ladder everyone’s exposed to all the different maps while in OWL it’s 5 maps only.

Stage 4 now is running Kings Row, Horizon Lunar Colony, LiJang, Gibraltar and Oasis.
Kings Row, Horizon Lunar is not so great for Brig because of all the verticality in the maps, LiJang we did see some Brig, Gibraltar we saw Brig at the last point, and Oasis almost nothing.

Are they running the new and improved Hanzo in stage 4?

No it’s the old Hanzo with the scatter.

Probably that’s why they don’t have Brigitte than.

As I said (this is my own opinion though) she started a chain reaction. You pick Reinhardt for Brigitte, who enables Zarya, who helps out Hanzo greatly. That is the big quad I see on ladder.

Yes these 4 does synergize well together. Rein, Zarya, Brig, Hanzo.
But Hanzo was played a lot in the last 2 days of Stage 4 (Way more than Brig) … We been seeing Hanzo + Rein + Zarya in quite a few games. When it wasn’t Rein + Zarya, it was Dva + Winston. And once in a blue moon the Brig card is pulled out

I am guessing they’ll use Brigitte with Hanzo.

lol how does Brigitte not feels fair? She can’t do anything in range, meaning nothing to anyone who is more than 6m away from her. Her dash kills no one, the only one who can killed in a combo is Tracer. How is that feeling less fair than Genji, who is pretty much part of any meta, survives literally anything in the game and even gets his cooldown deleted if he kills someone with his ability? Brigitte is extremely fair and balanced, different to all those abilities you simply can’t avoid like Roadhogs hook, which is a death sentence in a 20 m radius or McCrees combo. I can understand a little frustration from Tracers but as it turns out, I barely here anything from them.

She walks forward to get in range.

You think it’s weird that I don’t spam the forums? The post amount has reset in this new forum design.

Lol what? She is definitely not balanced, “Extremely fair balanced” is a huge exaggeration.
