Crowd control and brigitte

It could work which means when you add nerfs to Brig, you also add some kind of nerfs to the flankers she was meant to stop. But it’s a very hard thing to do because a lot of heroes were balanced against tracer. So playing with her mobility can be a difficult thing. Brig’s upcoming PTR nerfs on the Rally and her 6s bash cd will tone her down, but I’m afraid if it gets toned down too much making it hard to deal with the tracer / genji flank problem.

And you need to play the damn game instead of watching videos. Your points are always so random and out of place in every discussion.
1sec longer cooldown is barely noticeable. It would start at 2 at least.

So go ask Geoff Goodman to make her shield bash CD at 7s instead of 6s? Let’s see what he thinks about it.
Good Luck with that Toupher !

Do you just go around posting in every thread, arguing with anyone who has criticism towards the game? What are you trying to be, a mod?

Tarre-21289,

You observe a lot for the first post you ever made on this forum. Why do I smell something fishy here

I guess that’s a yes.

I meant something like Shield bash CD goes up to 8 sec, Flashbang’s CD goes down to 8 sec. Balance it out between heroes. If only one hero is available for a purpose (as the closest to anti-flankers is Hog and McCree, and the latter definetly doesn’t shine in his role) it is not going to be good for the game.

Well it was super entertaining watching today’s Stage 4 games, with Brig and the so many different combination of heroes that were played. We saw dive on some maps Brig wasn’t strong on, and on maps like Hanamura, Brig was shutting down the dive comps/ flankers that ran in.

The Dallas vs Shangai Dragons games. Brig’s a healthy change to the game indeed, it was evident in the crowd that watched today’s games. Maybe people wanted to see the pro’s take on Brig and how it was played, but what I saw there was a diverse pool of heroes being played.

Contrary to that, people who play the game seem to be unhappy with the current state of the game. This is the first time a “meta hero” actually got around to shake up the lower elos as well, and I am telling you, people in the high elos aren’t having fun because this is already more stale than dive ever was. Not to mention how dive wasn’t nearly as oppressive as people made us believe.

So no, as far as opinions go, I have one too. Brigitte isn’t a healthy change for the game.

Your falling for the “minority vocal community” then. People who cried about Brig on the old forums were pretty much that. A lot of them who actually are happy about Brig, and the changes she bring to the game are silent bout it, and just play the game.

You say people in the higher ellos aren’t having fun because of Brig, but every stream I watch out there tells me otherwise. They just know how to play against Brig. AimbotCalvin was one such player, who now embraces Brig and is pretty good with her. He had an interview the other day talking about Brig and why it’s a good change for this game.
People want change, and beyond a 1.5 year old play style.
Check this out.

Want me to start throwing links and names around? I do not base my assessment on these forums, I am quite sure a good minority of the posters are alt accounts. No, you see I do what I am doing best, and that is having a friendly conversation with my fellow gamers during a match of quick or competitive play. And what I see there would be, how people dislike to play against Brigitte even if they like playing as her. As I - for one - like playing Brigitte and hate playing against her, despite knowing how my Reinhardt is good and I have success against her.
Sure, I might just be unlucky and don’t find people who really like her, but generally it feels like people between plat-masters aren’t that happy.

Also, citation needed on that vocal minority part, from what I’ve seen nothing proves the people on this forum to be a minority. I could very well go ahead and say people aren’t happy about Brigitte, and that’s why they don’t say anything. In fact, let me pull that out of my arse. Very few people are happy about Brigitte and that is why you mostly say negativity about her everywhere.

EDIT: Not here to argue my man, I was looking for a discussion about a possible coordinated anti-flanker overhaul. If we start arguing about brigitte this topic will end in futility.

For one Brigitte has enabled diversity in the kind of heroes you can just play now.
Calvin said hit scans were getting weak and Hanzo was the better dps hero amongst them all, and yet in todays OWL games I saw Mcree being pulled out a number of times, and he was successfully shutting down certain enemies.

We did see dive, we saw Triple Tank and Triple Support in a game… Can you believe that ? There was one game without a dps hero. It’s crazy the kind of combinations we get to see now, and that is why I say the current meta is way more fun and engaging than it ever has been.

People in the ladder plat - masters will eventually learn from the pro’s and adapt with time. After all the best insight to tactics are learned from those players at the higher levels, and with time people down the ladder learn. What I enjoy the most about this meta, is the diversity, and that had to come at the drop of certain heroes like tracer and genji yes. (However those 2 were picked a number of times)

I guess I see your point as well, but I do not like what I see. Well, whatever works for you, bud.

Surprising the number of viewers that watched today’s Stage 4 games were around 130k at it’s peak. That should be an indicator if any about the renewed interest the community has taken towards this new meta.
Well with a game of 40 million players 130k is a very small fraction, but that’s another discussion to why that might be the case :stuck_out_tongue:

We need a tank as the next hero the same way zarya gets rid of poison effects but for cc

130k viewers. Not players. The devs need to decide if this is going to be a competitive or a casual game, and soon because this just cannot go on.

EDIT: 40 million players is a broad statement. What is that, sold copies? People on free weekends included?

I think 40 million has to be sold copies. I myself have 5 copies of the game

How do you have time for them, I barely could manage work and two.

It just depends on how many of my friends are online in a specific region, in a specific ello. I swap between them. I have been ignoring this account lately :stuck_out_tongue:

Or it will be the other way around - the pros will realize that going brigitte/zarya/reinhardt every time is the best strategy. You do realize it was the very first day of OWL and teams are currently experimenting, right? There is no way this so called “diversity” will stay, not when there are 2 obviously OP characters who are free to get picked.

Majority of the games been seen so far in OWL did not have a Brig, and have been a mixed between dive, triple tank, triple support, lot of hanzo, pharah, some flanks. If that’s not diversity I don’t know what else is…

Brig keeps getting picked in some maps, and she was stomped out on some maps, while Mickey yesterday stomped a dive from Shangai on Hanamura. It’s still a mixed bag of many heroes.
