I mean, they were initialy introduced to fight against the pressure of the team when, for example, a support would try playing DPS because we knew that he was a main support, but isn’t that useless now that we have the role-queue ?
No, I have an open profile and don’t care but people flame me if I pick the “wrong” role.
Why give ppl more ammo to be toxic?
I agree. Ye Raizurhk said that someone can contest you don’t have enough hours on some heroes, but on the other hand I think is way more useful see when you mastering very well a hero when you don’t have hours on it, or that you were master elo and now you’re playing in gold (maybe with another player for boosting, hidden also with the last patch) and in this scenario other players can land reports.
I think that pros of hidden profiles are lesser than cons.
Private profiles cause toxicity within itself.
“Ofc he has private profile.”
It gives you an opportunity to assume the worst about somebody.
the next thing you want to stalk is someone Instagram and Facebook because you are a toxic [expletive]
so…NO. Private Profile stays.
PF
hmm… at this point they may at least be able to change the default to be open proifile…
that people can close it when it become an issue.
I for one have it open
Only real men have it open. I salute you, sir
Honestly, i dont mind it being there that much, just the fact that it was immediately forced on everyone and is now the default is the problem. A good solution would be to revert all profiles to public, and make it the default and give the player a notification that if they want to change it to priv they need to do it again.
I mean, i understand why sometimes someone wants to hide their profile, but its no-one else’s concern what kind profile you have. I honestly cannot think any GOOD or LOGICAL reason to make every profile public, unless you are asshole who wants to flame other people. In which case karma will make sure you get raped anyways.
It’s also needed to regonize hackers. I’ve seen so many gold players with hacks in the last 2 weeks atleast 2 they snap on people heads which is just insane

Or let them visible just at the end of the match.
So you can get the reason cause Blizzard promoted this, and cover also the negative effects of this.
