Where there would be Ashe, Widow, Hanzo instalockers, then a guy would match the sniper picks but at the same time wanting to avoid instareports by picking Ana, then the other guy picking Hog because “he would rather have fun, it’s going to be a short match anyways”, then everybody flipping out because I would go Torb and call everyone to report me for trolling in match chat and me getting falsely suspended eventually.

yeah but you ain’t getting 2 thats the problem and the reason why they are looking for a way to make 1-3-2 work. Maybe there would be 2 tanks more frequently if people could swap into it without rq, but they obviously won’t commit on it for the entire duration of the match. I was this sort of player, I’d be rather flexing into it than locking myself to it, not a chance. Being forced to this role when the enemy runs an anti-tank comp is a hell and no fun at all.
This is even worse. Roadhog will become completely unplayable or even if I do well with him 5 reports will be guaranteed. They need to change the entire tank class to accommodate this change, I am just baffled at Blizzard’s decisions at this point, lmao

That sounds good. I always took him as a tanky DPS. What about Wrecking Ball though, a DPS too? He will definitely not be able to fulfill the tank role by himself, not in the way it is expected.
Jeff didn’t elaborate all of the off-tanks and their designation, just click the link in the initial post of this thread and read it. Interesting stuff, apparently they’ve been testing 1-3-2 for few months already. I’d suspect there would be no such thing as “off- tank”, should they push 1-3-2 to live at some point. Imagine being that guy who picks hammond for the only tank slot available XD

They aren’t looking for a way to make it work, they tried testing it to see if it could help with DPS queues, it didn’t work for the rest of the game though.
