I was using the lootbox issue with EA as an example of something that if the community didn’t shout their complains about, there would be no changes. It was an example, not the point itself, I never meant to enter a discussion about it, neither was I saying that Blizz was as bad as EA, we didn’t reach that point thankfully.
I do understand where you’re coming from, this forum has so many posts that aren’t helpful and are basically random rants, but this one for example despite not being in depth has a valid reason of concern. I made a post regarding it that received a bunch of likes and views on it which was basically this but with in depth comparisons showing why the development of OW doesn’t meet the standards, even when compared to other blizzard games, unfortunately for some reason the post was deleted without any warning whatsoever.
It’s still up on Reddit if you want to check that out. I won’t link here because they will just delete my comment like they did before. This is another thing that’s not okay, I didn’t break any rules, I simply stated a bunch of facts and simple opinion, quantity and quality are at a all time low and don’t meet the standards, there was no reason to delete the post, it was good valid feedback.
Usually I’d agree with taking your money somewhere else to make a statement, but not in videogames, simply because there are situations like OW where the gameplay is really good and really fun, it’s just missing on everything else. There’s a more extreme example of this, Street Fighter 5, the gameplay is really good, but everything surrounding it is absolute trash, they fixed some stuff like the loading screens, the netcode is way better than it was at the beginning too, people literally teleported all over the place. The community was 100% outraged about it but they didn’t let go off the game, they just shout out their concerns, some people even went too far, there were law suits involved just to prove points and memes insulting “crapcom” being thrown around left and right on the forums and reddit, but I mean, things are looking better for that game, they actually started to solve stuff because of how the community reacted.
Hopefully you’ll get what I’m trying to say here. Even if it’s something small, if it’s a valid concern I really believe people should make their voices heard.
