Developers should add a few STATS

  1. There should be a “POTG’s” stat, as in a count of POTG’s you have earned.
  2. There should be a “Healing Received” stat so you can see how much you were healed in games and quantitatively over your career.

Healing Received is not your stat though, what would it mean/tell you about your play?

That tanking is impossible with 0 heal.
And that even if you receive 20k heal personally, you can’t have a single kill as Hanzo so it’s not necessarily your mates fault.

The Healing Received stat isn’t being requested to point the finger, however when DPS are asked how much damage they have or how many elims they have it is super easy to paint one side of the picture.

I think its important, one because people are always complaining about heals. Well if you can look and see that your getting healed maybe people will complain less and be more compassionate towards the support. For the support not doing their job, it gives the team the opportunity to change roles if the current support is not doing the job.

We shouldn’t hide stats, this is the most toxic game on planet Earth and will always be the most toxic game on Planet Earth no matter what. Healers and DPS get blamed followed by Widows and Hanzos. I truly believe that you cant fix something if you dont know its broken. If you aren’t getting heals, you should be. One quick way to find out if the healers are doing their job is by adding that stat. If the Healer has 24K healing and all of it is the Phara, well do the math.

Zarya Says:
“Why am I not getting healed? In the last 20 minutes the only healing I have done is self regeneration”

Anna says, “you are getting healed STFU”
Mercy says, “Stop blaming the healers and git gud”

Went back to the VOD watched it at half speed and not on time in the entire game prior to the complaint did I get hit with one heal dart or did Mercy come down from Phara’s pocket. Our Anna had more damage than our Junkrat.

I think instead of having to watch a VOD it would be nice to just have the stat so you can inform your healers that you are being neglected just a little bit so they can change what they are doing.

I don’t see the point of POTGs really, except as a gimmick. If I suddenly spot the perfect opportunity for a grav, announce it and catch five players, the dps will get the potg every time even though it was my play.

The healing received though, that would be awesome. For leak finding your own play though, as that is the only thing you can change. If you’re a dps and need a lot of healing, you may want to look into your positioning. If you’re a dps who die a lot and don’t get heals you may want to look into your positioning.

Telling the healers that “hey I don’t get heals, look” is pointless. You shouldn’t take much damage, so the problem is likely on your end. And if it is the supports’ fault afterall, throwing stats at them, along with blame, will likely be even worse than only blame.

And if you’re a tank who don’t get heals, or who do get a lot and still die, guess what? Look at your positioning and your decision making. If they’re flawless, then ask the dps to follow my advice for dps.

Because honestly, it’s VERY rare that the supports aren’t actually healing. They may not be healing YOU, but that’s usually the result of either you or someone else on the team being somewhere they shouldn’t, and therefore taking damage they shouldn’t. The main healer may be prioritizing the wrong target, sure, but if you are playing well you’re not forcing them to make split second decisions regarding who to prioritize. Trust me, healing priority in a badly positioned team is a million times harder than standing in the right spot.

So yeah, introduce the stat, and definitely hide it.

And of course you have to come and point at the one specific situation where the healers can actually be blamed :joy: Yes, that situation sucks, but it’s quite uncommon to have both a dps ana and a fulltime Pharah pocket at the same time. And do you think telling them numbers would make them accept the situation? Nah…

You are wrong, this will just encourage toxicity. Also, lack of healing can often be down to positioning. If we are defending a point and 5 of us are on point setup and holding, a healer is unlikely to heal the flanking (or sometimes suicidal) DPS who’s gone off to do their thing.

Healing received per kill you did would be funny but toxic at same time, imagine needing 1000 healing just to score one kill, these are 100% surely stats being tracked already behind scenes, if they aren’t they should defiantly do it behind scenes could help with detecting what rank you should be :stuck_out_tongue:
