Diminishing returns, is it time?

As starter, for those who do not know, Diminishing Returns (DR) is something present is many games and Blizzard games specifically, it consists about dividing the Crowd Control time by half each consecutive application until the target becomes immune, IE: Full stun duration > 50% > 25% > Immune for a period of time (based on the type of game).
In other words, if you get frozen by Mei the 1st time, you get the whole duration, then Ana sleep dart consecutively would be half of its duration, then Brigitte stun would be 25% of its duration then you are immune to any sort of CC for let’s say 5 sec, so any stun/freeze/charm would no longer take effect on the target character until the DR duration is done.

Now with that explained, I wonder what you guys think, should it be applied to the game or not (Even maybe having a glow effect on the character that is periodically immune to CC)?
I would personally say yes, because people wouldn’t just start abusing those abilities now that they are so abundant (been seeing many chain CCs lately and it’s not really that fun especially for tank players) and somehow it would force the users of such character to smartly manage them instead of spamming them away back to back.

Yes yes yes. I get that in theory there’s a counter for every hero but the amount of crowd control in this game is really sickening. Reinhardt isn’t enjoyable at all rn.

While I agree with most, rein is quite fun now too.
