I keep getting disconnected from overwatch in comp and its so annoying, I have very good internet, never any internet issues on my side on anything, I get on average 20-30 ping on most servers across all games and on steam I get around 25MB/s download speed.
It only takes me around about 20 seconds to join back and it happened twice in the same game it just takes me to the menu with no error just disconnects me and I cant join back.
For those saying “if it only takes 20 seconds to join then you wont lose sr” but I did. We won the game I disconnected twice in one game but we still won and I was there for the win except disconnected right at the end just before play of the game and I lost 50 sr even though I won and I deserved the sr.
Been having this issue for so long and I’ve quit once before because of it. Makes no sense and they never seem to give a decent response, could really do with some help or I’m going to have to quit again, cant progress up the ranks like this, at this point its ridiculous.

Hello Scott,
Let’s start with the basics. It’s important to follow some troubleshooting first, so we can discard the most common causes for this kind of issue. Please, check this article and make sure you follow all the instructions, including the advanced steps:
battle.net/support/article/99037
If the issue persists after that, we will need to check some diagnostics to see if we can find the root of the issue:
-
Traceroute (right after a disconnection or whenever you’re experiencing the issue)
-
Pathping (right after a disconnection or whenever you’re experiencing the issue)
-
WinMTR (right after a disconnection or whenever you’re experiencing the issue)

Doesn’t work. Please stop giving these solutions that are pointless
I have this issue that when I go into practice range or quick/comp, I start out at like 30 ms but then when I move around it goes to like 1000-20000 ms, pls help!
They do work in many cases, that’s why we suggest them. At the very least, they help us discard the most common causes, which it’s very helpful when investigating and trying to fix an issue.
If the troubleshooting doesn’t solve your issue, please provide us with the requested diagnostics so we can check them out.
If you have the same issue, please make sure you follow the instructions I left on my previous message.
