Do I need to use a VPN to be able to communicate in game?

I’m in the northern part of Sweden, and most games half the lobby writes in Cyrillic or talks in voice in Russian. It’s not a fun experience to play on what effectively has become servers that’s 50% in Russian and 50% in English.

In a way it echoes the issues that World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade had way back in the days, where the Russians would not communicate in English at all yet hadn’t gotten their own servers yet.

It’s OK to be Russian, but I’d rather pay for a VPN to the continent of Europe than learn a new language just to be able to communicate with my team. Though I hear people further south complain about KSA players, so maybe the grass isn’t even greener south of the Baltic Sea. It’s just, every other nationality uses English to communicate, except Russians.

That is one option.

The other is stack with people that live further west.
