I’m not a pro player but I love Doomfist and I hate how it plays out.
Here’s a list of things I was thinking and maybe could be discussed by Blizz:
There is still no trace of fixing all the 40+ bugs. It’s a pain to hear about balancing and nerf with all those bugs (many of which I’ve experienced over and over again!!!) The 40 bugs that Doomfist has.. - YouTube
Don’t make him easy one shottable. It’s a huge model: more HP, or a bit of armor, some kind of damage reduction while he’s some meters away from the fight… there is something not to make it OP while don’t make him one-shottable
Recover the E ability like it was before the nerf, at least for mobility unless the next point becomes viable
Secondary skill reset on kill. Genjii has cooldown reset on blade Dash after a kill. I dunno if DF would be overpowered with the same mechanic on the right click but maybe a middle ground could be a resert when he kills somebody with the right click. So the power tool, nerfed in damage (with the patch, no other nerfs needed , if successful becomes also a mobility tool for survivability… plus you have extra shield that can save your ass and make him more “into the battle”. Genji can sustain almost forever if he gets kills, Tracer same with her cooldowns, DF is kinda one shot but in a bad way: do-and-die or do-not-and-die-anyway
The ulti. The achievement of 6 people is too hard, lol. Beyond that: ulti like that sucks, serves no purpose but escaping. Make it offensive again maybe with some sort of CC that casts people into the air (like Wrecking Ball) or some pull like was the E before.

He already has more HP than most heroes. If you want to see a hero whose HP is too low look at Bastion, one of the biggest heroes in the game and 50 more health than Doomfist.
I like the idea of getting instant-cooldowns on kills.
Try aiming at a Zarya grav, 6 man gravs are not that rare.
How does it serve no purpose? It does 300 damage on a direct hit, enough to delete half the roster from existence with no way to block it.
I think they should lower his cds, increase his hp and reduce his damage … and move him to offtank… When i first heard of doomfist I thought he would be a tank that would control the battle…
I’d just revert doom before his last nerf and just remove or do an 80% nerf on his passive. Oneshotting people was fun. Making 3/3 teams meta was a really bad decision. Powercreeping bastion to deal with 3/3 was a bad ideal as well. But leave it to overwatch to know what the people don’t want to play and focus on making it meta.
I played a lot of doomfist and and I think it’s trivial to stay in the fight, with Genji and Tracer, or Sombra, it’s much more easy… expecially if a rocket punch fails due to bug.
Plus using the most powerful tools (ulti and 1 shot kill) to escape doesn’t make much sense.
So you’re against Roadhog’s hook (combo) too then I assume?
Same range, faster, no charge up, 3D attack area and carries vastly less risk to use not to mention the incredibly generous hitbox it has.
The only thing the punch really has over it is that it can be used as a mobility tool at the cost of dealing damage with it and that it goes through shields (Barriers? Things like Rein’s shield and Winston’s “bubble”).
What about headshots from Hanzo or Widow? Heck, even Roadhog oneshots from time to time.
Are they OK because generally speaking they’re harder to pull off even if it’s possible to get several one shots in a row in a matter of seconds?
Just curious where the line is drawn that’s all.
Doomfist was and still is a noob-stomper. He’s still strong against people that has poor teamwork and in lower ranks because they are easily punishable due to their positioning, the Ana’s always miss the Sleep Darts and nobody has good enough aim to take you out before you can get a kill and leave.
So I’d love to see him go through some pretty hefty changes whilst still staying true to the character so-to-speak, but I think if you want him to not be frustrating to play against and still be viable at all ranks you have to change his kit because it’s riddled with stuff that nobody enjoys being the victim of.
One shots and loss of control.
I do like the idea of making him less of an assassin and more of an off-tank A bruiser of sorts.
Several heroes are designed to have “secure kills”. If you stand in front of a Widowmaker or a Bastion you will (in theory) always die, they have control over the area. Doomfist is a control hero, the big difference between him and the others is that he is much more mobile. This allows him to shift his area of control quickly. Playing against a good Doomfist means you need to constantly consider your positioning. Stay close to your tank and behind barriers or around corners.
There’s a cost as well. As any Sombra player will tell you he’s heavily reliant on his abilities. This makes him, like other highly mobile heroes, vulnerable to stuns and snares that stop him moving. He’s also at risk when he’s on cooldown, which is your opportunity to strike. He has no defence against long-ranged heroes.
His punch also doesn’t go through barriers, so really it’s no different than getting headshot: don’t stand in places where that’s possible and you’re fine. Get caught out of position and he’ll take advantage.
One-shots are good for the game. Especially in today’s Brig watch where everything is olverly protected without the need of any skill.
Like if your paying attention nothing can one shot you in this team game, every pro has said that doomfist was one of the easiest heroes to counter having obvious counters in the game like Sombra, Zarya, Mccree.
Whats this a doomfist uppercutted the ana? Just used def matrix or bubble on her and shes immune on top of Zarya starting to deal more damage then a DPS pick.
If one shotting was bad Hanzo and Widow won’t exist and All it takes Hanzo to oneshot people is spamm.
more health, oh boi cause his 250 and essential “lifesteal” isn´t enough.
E, what ever, i still think his mobility was overtuned. But if this was ony because of the E, or some of the buggy “bugs”, that you don´t seem to report on, like how his E can travel a little upwards in mid air, or the interaction between his E and rooftops, that has been fixed for nearly all heroes, like Pharah, yet Doom is still rewarded for using abilities on rooftops, like how he can launch himself on certain items and slopes, why are none of these bugs reported ?
Absolutely insane an instant recovering one shot, that gives him health back, when landed, which is quite easy to do, he would absolutely f*ck up tanks too badly.
I mean we have worse ults, at least doom can use it as a get out of jail card and escape certain death or get a free support kill and get out. It is still an amazing ult in the midst of a fight, but if you use it alone, when no teammates are around, yes you will have issues. Now try using a deadeye alone in front of enemies and see, what that leads too.
40 bugs is unacceptable, even if it is a feature… its not meant to be there and shouldn’t be.

he has base 250hp, with a passive that can only be given IF he hits his targets, and Bastion can self heal. Doomfist cannot, plus Bastion has armor.

I kind of agree with you here, but I think Doom should meet the middle ground and just have some cooldowns reduced, after I use all his abilities sometimes I feel like all I can do is watch a fight go down and I can’t do anything about it.

ooooh boy, even in a zarya grav, Dooms ult cannot kill 6 people, the inner radius is that small it won’t do enough damage of the entire grav radius.

I don’t know exactly what ability your trying to say here, but if its meteor strike
-move out of the way
-shields can block it
-don’t stand still
If its Rocket punch
-It actually requires aim
-He charges it, meaning if you hear it, turn and go the other way.
-Stun him, trust me its incredibly annoying
-bust out a Sombra, she can hack him half way through charging rocket punch and it stops him from doing it.
