Endorsement loot boxes

I am one of those people who jump between endorsement level 4 and 3 several times a week. Once a week(I think), I get rewarded with loot boxes that seems to be tied to leveling back up to 4. This week and last week I got 3 loot boxes, with the message “Endorsement level up! Keep it up!”, and the week before that I think I got 2. My bf who never changes from level 4, don’t get any. How does this even work?

Since I constantly level up and down it feels like I get 1 loot box every time I go up to 4 after having been on 3, and doesn’t this favour jumping up and down? Unless I have completely misunderstood how the system works.

You get rewarded “periodically” with boxes based on your level. You get 1 box at L2, 2 at L3, 3 at L4, and 4 boxes at L5. You don’t get them from going up. It’s based on a timer, but we don’t know the exact details because otherwise people would exploit it.
