Entitled player mentality

-Adapted Post-
a lot of players love blaming each other, when in reality all it does is hurt team mentality as a whole. The ability to synergise with your team is a very difficult thing to do, however gives the best experience in OW.
People who tilt and get mad at a player should keep it to themselves and go for a more civilised approach, such as “hey man, X hero isn’t working out, I think X hero would be better etc”. Its hurting a game that is built on the foundation on having a team player mentality.

9/10 times blame dps, when its not just there fault. For example earlier I was playing Bastion with a Orisa, and the Orisa swapped off to hammond, I got the blame for losing first point. Another example is when Anas hold their nano for 20 years.
Stop solely blaming dps, I’m willing to accept I’m at fault but no one plays perfectly. Theres bad players in every role.

It’s supposed to be a team effort. But a lot of players run after POTG and the offensive falls apart as a result. I hate Sombraing for a team that doesn’t know how to work together.

What’s the point of your thread?.. You had a bad game where a healer blamed you for the loss? Stop whining and forget it.

It’s usually always others’ fault in team games, being tank, dps or healer.

yeah, but I’m just getting tired of the “everyones bad but me” mentality.

Same goes for DPS blaming the healers, so it goes both ways…

yeah true, I’ll admit its a double standard, but either way again I’m tired of this kinda mentality I find in every game

So it looks like in this game everyone was bad except you?

And also, from the main tank perspective, sometimes it is not worth it babysitting a bastion who can’t even set up in the right position and plays on his own

I could see your point if this was a support main complaining about this, but you rarely see dps players talking about this nonsense. Most of the time they just don’t even talk

Yeah I feel you there.
Supports especially have this stupid mentality that they are incapable of making mistakes and that every lost teamfight is the DPS’s fault.

I’ll give you a hint, if you lost a fight, it’s probably because your rein player messed up somehow. I would know, I’m a rein main.

If someone gave me 1 euro everytime dps told me they died because i was not healing them when they were 1 vs 6 ( and they say it the most toxic ways), i would be more rich than bill gates.

Same for me… I had a healing beam and orb feom moira on a rein, he also had zens orb… But still died because of 6 vs 1 ( he didnt want to wait for the rest of his team)… Then blames us while he got more dmg than 2 healers could heal him…

People should not be so negative when they play a game, and not imediatly start blaming others for a los, or even blame them before the doors are even open! A little positivity and faith in others will help a lot… You just can’t win every game!!

I realy dont understand why they would do that in such a bad way, they just make the game not fun to play and make others skip chat and/or voice coms…

I’m gonna change the title, since its every role

Were you losing anyway? If so then the Orisa shouldn’t be blamed, nobody wants to be a shieldbot when the combination is not working. Its like someone going Mercy to try to combo with a dysfunctional Pharah, realizing they made a mistake and switching.

It was a bunker comp anyway, plus it was an example. However that was the only main tank on defence, and since we had no shield, well.
I’m not saying I wasn’t at fault, my positioning was right next to the Orisa, and I was trying to get the Baptiste to use his immortality field. Again I’m not looking for excuses to blame players, I’m trying to say the reason we lost the point was the lack of synergy through our entire team. There was no coordination both on my part and other players. And well, it all fell apart once people starting blaming each other, ruining the entirety of the mach.

So it wasn’t squarely the Orisa’s fault.

Yeah Precisely, it was a bit of everyones, my point isn’t to blame the Orisa.

A lot of the players are 12-year old kids with the attention span of a sleeping cat. Of course they are entitled. Just today I was doing placements for my alt account, three out of five matches had a kid who played reaper and loudly complained about everything. One of the matches he was in enemy team, complained in public chat and left in middle of the match giving us the win.

Blizzard should just raise the age allowance. Sometimes players are even younger, Ive been in teams where a dad let his 10y old kid play with him.

Some kids are mature but there is no way to tell in advance.

I dunno… It seems to me most of the time it’s a deep voiced fully grown man who is being toxic. I barely see any kids.
