when i open overwatch, the screen goes black and this error pops up: 0xe00101b0
Then the game proceeds to crash
While i didnt find a permanent fix, if you have avast antivirus installed, turning off protection can allow the game to launch.
The problem is on the user’s end not blizzard’s. Either wait for a new avast update and hope that it fixes the issue or turn off core protection.
As vramii said, it seems to be an anti-virus thing.
But unlike he said, it’s not entirely user end. As soon as your antivirus has an update available you should install it and it’ll hopefully get rid of the issue. So we can pretty much only wait for that.
If you don’t wish to turn off your virus program, restarting your computer might help if overwatch is the first program you start after that. But you’ll have to restart your computer every time you want to start the game. (I’ve been doing this since my game sessions are just really long and then i move onto different games once i’m done with overwatch.)
