Hi guys!
I would like to ask how much of you actually play on NA servers? What is for you the biggest differences between the servers?
For me NA servers are much more talktive:3 They are always on VC and make callouts. Not so toxic to female players in my opinion. There is no language barrier. They are more chill in general.
Of course the experience can change depending in the rank you play but EU servers are really… wierd. Full of toxic, non comunicative players.
What are your opinions guys?
NA servers, Pros, way less toxic, everyone speaks the same language
Cons, Latency of 120ms… Oof… nothing else
EU servers, Pros, Latency of 20ms, nothing else
Cons, Toxicity, Russians, French, Language barrier…

So trueeee. I think that sometimes people don’t talk in VC (on EU servers)because one: they don’t know how to speak english; two: they don’t want to be received with toxicity.

I don’t use VC simply because of toxicity, I tend to play better without people swearing at me in foreign languages or 12 yo’s screeching down the mic at me / people telling me “im bad” etc…

if your net is good enough for NA servers then should not be problem for you but if you want to have a good time I would not recommend EU
the one with shortest latency time to you.
Its not like we could pick regions as we wish, at least if we wanna play the game normally.
as I said if you want to play on NA you will only need to worry about latency
“only”.
120-150ms is unplayable in my humble opinion.
I play in NA, sadly getting a team all in vc and talking is rare. I would say maybe 1/5 games. The rest are mostly silent. The strange thing for me is that many people don’t even join the vc channel. It’s like I get it, you don’t want to talk, but why wouldn’t you even join the channel so you can listen to your other team mates doing call outs, etc? Makes no sense. Unless if hearing other people speak distracts them, in which case why are you playing competitive?
But yes I agree with you that there’s very little toxicity towards women and kids. I’ve been playing here since season 5 and have never seen that, most toxicity is usually one player or group of players telling another player or group of players that they’re trash and can’t play x hero and blah blah.

I can say from experience that as long as you don’t play hitscan, you can manage.
I have played in both servers and yes I think in America people use the voice chat more, but from my experience they are not less or more toxic than EU server players… It’s basically the same…
I think in NA servers people just communicate more.
SO this are my ideas, in terms of the rest besdeis communication:
NA Servers: people are better at hitscan DPS and carry characters but aren’t thaat good at utility heroes.
EU Servers: people aren’t that good at hitscan DPS (except some specific players of course) but then to be better at utility heroes.
THis is why you see AMerican pro players be better at comps that favour DPS character and pickers that are better is short term team fights and you see EU pro players be better at comps that favour healing and bulk damage that are better in long lasting fights.
If you put a team from the NA servers vs a team in the EU servers most of the times you have this:
1 - THE NA team will just win most fights fast because their dps pick the right heroes and then is ahrd for the EU teams to win fights
2 - THe EU team will be able to survive the first push and will just end up winning for being better at support and bulk damage
3 - The teams adapt to each toehr and will just come down to ult usage
I don’t think NA is better than EU or viceverse they are just different in terms of style. You will see NA run a lot of Tracer, Widowmaker, Hanzo, Doomfist and see EU run a lot more Torbjorn, Mei, Reaper and Junkrat.
At least this is my experience.
EU if I’m playing with friends and NA if I’m playing alone.
People understand eachother better on NA (English language), NA seems generally less toxic (Probably them Canadians), and people are actually more mature (Less “squeekers”), thus making it better for SoloQ;ing. Of course, this all comes with the trade off of higher ping, but it hasn’t been too bad for me.
Of course, since I’ll be 6 stacking on EU, none of the above points matter, since everyone on my team already speaks english.
No scientific data to back this up, but that’s my experience.
Man, I’m getting 100-120 on EU, lol, I consider like 400 high ping.
