If you play Overwatch in a country toward the west of Europe, getting connected to the Russian servers makes the game impossible to play. Just today i was playing a competitive game as Mercy and the first thing i noticed was my frames dropping below 15 which hardly ever happens to me, but this wasn’t necessarily a cause of being placed in the Russian servers, what was though, was my latency being an average of 100 and reaching an all-time high at 210. I lost 20sr for a game that quite literally impossible to win. I couldn’t move without suddenly being somewhere else or being dead all together. Getting connected to the Russian servers whilst playing toward the west of Europe is the EXACT same as choosing to be connected to the American servers. I’m honestly sick and tired of jumping into a game and suddenly being unable to move, one of my friends (who also plays the game in the same country as me) ended up with the exact same problem at the exact same time, this happens to both of us on a near daily basis, and we lose Sr because of it. I’m not blaming my low sr on the lag of these servers, because trust me i know i’m losing games that we should have won, but if i can’t even move in the servers, i can’t even play the game. It’s a shame that this happens so often but there isn’t much i can do about that i just have to hope i dont get put on a Russian server. 
Ah problems since the start of the game, a lot of topics made and ignored. Servers cost money and activision needs them to make bad phone games. Wish they at least add a list or stop selling the game in this countries since it does get unplayable when that happens.
Sucks but i doubt that they will lift a fingers and add servers in the EU its all about US and KR.

It happens for some countries. You might be lucky, every time i have to go to places for my work like Turky, Belarus, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine etc my ping just explosed like 80 ping at best seen it go to 200… And its not the internet providers problem since in most cases i’d have a better internet yet in countries like UK, Norway, France, Germany etc my ping is 20 with a worse internet. Its just unfair, since this places are at a huge disadvantage. And there have been a lot of topics about this, yet never has anyone reply’d to them from the overwatch team, even to the once made on the US forum.
Its just to easy to ignor EU since only US and KR matter.
