When people say “delete this character” they are thinking about it the wrong way.
No Blizzard needs to focus on balance every character and fix their bug issues, rather than releasing a new character and map. They need to look back over every character, their abilities, their passive abilities and their damage and healing potential.
Studying in Games tech at uni, this is something I’ve looked at for a while with this game. An example of this is Genji, yes people need to be extremely good at Genji, but at the end of the day is stats are out of balance, he’s the only characters with 3 passive abilities, the only character who has abilities to damage everything, even his primary and secondary fire is able to deal large amounts of damage from any range, because they don’t have any fall off damage.
But this is only one example of an unbalanced hero.
I genuinely mean no offense here, but everyone at Blizzard have done what you are doing, finished what you are studying. and have real world experience.
I know you think you are giving some advice, but I wouldn’t study cooking, not even pass my exams yet, and then go and try to tell Gordan Ramsey how to cook.
I understand that, “finish what you learn before u talk to pro’s” but at the same time not just me, but almost everyone who plays this game would agree that all the characters need to be balanced better then just releasing a new character every time.
Sounds kind of logic, but it not always have to be like this.
First of all, since activision started to eat blizzard, lot of developers has gone. The new developers are kind of new to this game.
Second, Bethesda developers has studied too, and look at what is happening with fallout 76. We have many more examples of this situation in videogames world., In my opinion this person is right.
For someone in the field you sure know very little. Mercy has 2 passives, 3 fire modes with her weapons and 2 abilities. Her projectiles, like with every other projectile based character have no drop off too. See how overpowered she is.
Well if you’re only locking one specific hero like most people do.
You will often be frustrated on how many other heroes are capable of countering you.
The trick in to becoming a good overwatch player is to counter your opponent and not picking a hero you favor the most.
Because of course a Mei will win from a genji.
Of course a genji is going to win from a widow.
Of course Soldier will win form a Phara and so on.
Have you seen latest Blizzcon?? They aren’t Gordon Ramsey. They have proven to be sooo out of touch with gaming and gamers that if they were in a kitchen, their prepared fish would be soooo undercooked it would still find Nemo…
And the beef so undercooked it starts eating the salad. Then Gordon Ramsey will dress up as Illidan shouting “BESIDES AN IDIOT SANDWICH, YOU ARE NOT PREPARED!!”
Im not sure comparing f76 is good idea since the game was developed betwen 3 diffrent studios in diffrent locations, the guy who runs bethesda(CEO) is rumored be a criminal and the fact that the studio in Maryland has too much power(and thats why lore has become incosistent and lackluster, because of that main writer palaguia or however you say his name,he is just horrible and i dont know how does he still have his position as the main writer)
2 passives? pray tell what passive abilities does she have then? Cause 1 is her self healing. Whats the second? Also Mercy’s has 3 fire modes, healing (which is part of a support character and does no damage mind u) damage buff (which only aims the team not her) and her normal fire (how else is Mercy supposed to protect her self without her team) also I used a damage hero as an example, I did say that “Every hero” is unbalanced.
(so before you start mocking me, read what someone types first)
