I play on console and whenever I join a voice chat (doesn’t matter which one) everyone is automatically muted. When I try to unmute them it automatically mutes them again.
I’ve tried restarting my console, but that doesn’t work.
Am I silenced or something?
Does anyone know how to fix this?
This wouldn’t be the only voice chat related issue I’ve seen. E.g.: one of my team mates could never join group chat but could join the team chat.
Did they turn on group chat in their options? That could be the problem.
Unfortunately I don’t play with that guy on a regular basis but having group-chat=on might be the cause. However, allowing the player with group-chat=on to make it impossible to switch to team chat manually would be a really bad design.
For me both group chat and team chat are “auto-join”. With this setting I automatically join the group chat when I’m in a group but I can press “P” and manually switch between group and team chat. Manually switching to team chat is possible (and necessary) when my group isn’t a 6-stack.
If I’m not in a group then my settings join the team chat automatically.
