I didn’t really understand what a lot of the flags meant, so I went out and researched, and found a whole bunch of marginalized groups/flags that didn’t get in. As a suggestion, would it be possible to include another 20+ or so flags, and put the flags into a separate LGBTQ++ section?
Also, I think it could be a good idea to show how inclusive some straight gamers are by providing a straight ally pride flag icon also.

I agree 100% more inclusion will be great.

And just in case anyone has an issue with this, the straight flag & straight flag ally are already flags. Writing this, I kinda see the issue. It’d need to only be the straight ally flag.
I’m kinda lost on all these flags, I thought the whole lbtq+ meant that it didn’t matter who you are and who you love and that everybody is included, yet we seem to need a flag for every single kind of identity? Wasn’t the rainbow flag all inclusive?
Don’t get me wrong I’m not a hater, but I just feel like the original message is lost. All these different flags give me the feeling that people rather be seperated instead.

The rainbow flag is supposed to be all inclusive for sexuality, the other ones are more likely to be used within the group to avoid awkwardness and unwanted advances.
Sadly they also work to cause separation within the united front.
But to some people who live in dangerous situations the lesser known flags might be used as a cry for help. Just wearing something with the colour scheme allows safe people to know and interact while still leaving the hostile ones in the dark. As usually haters don’t take the time to figure them out.
Sadly again, being more widely known about makes this possibly more dangerous.
But this is just my understanding.
Some people also just wanted their own flag because they felt that the rainbow didn’t really represent them properly.
The straight pride flag was made to be homophobic though, created specifically to oppose the pride flags, and I don’t see why you need to be proud of being straight. Straight people are not oppressed
I do agree there should be an ally flag though
You don’t need to be oppressed to be proud of something. Why try to make that gap between straight people and lbtq+ groups even wider. By saying straight people can’t be proud, you’re actually oppressing them aswell. It’s a two way street.
Anyone can find pride in the things they do and because of the person/being they are.

I am proud to be a man with a work ethic. And for being straight, so I can bring more humans to the world.

It has alway been weird for me, that forcing ppl into groups and giving them their own flag is see as inclusive and not segregation…
What happened to just be kind no matter who you talk to?
Why must we know what turns ppl on, like good for you, but is that really all you are?
Can anyone tell me, does having a flag really help you? Do it gives life meaning or a place to belong?
I’m not trying to trigger anyone, but I just don’t understand.

It gives visibility. For too long a time queer people didn’t know that they existed, the flags help show people that they’re not alone.
